About the adventure

Portland, the City of Roses, Rip City, Bridge City, PDX... all these names reflect various aspects of the city as viewed by mortals but to the Kindred it is their last hope of redeeming themselves in the eyes of the Camarilla. The Kindred here struggle nightly to be fed adequately. Not that there is a shortage of blood, but only just enough to keep a small population from starving. Boons are traded and favors are called in for some, while others end up poaching in the domains of others and hope they aren't caught and dragged before the Prince where they run the risk of exile or worse fates. While the pursuit of blood is a nightly concern for the majority of Portland Kindred, there is a dangerous game of politics being played between the Camarilla and the Anarchs across the Columbia river in Vancouver resulting in tensions over who can supply their people with more of the red stuff. And while all of this is going on, there are rumors about a horrible presence from Portland's past lurking beneath the streets... The Players will arrive in the city as embarrassed or disgraced Camarilla Kindred because there really isn't another city that might be welcoming to them. But with a place in the city comes responsibilities and obligations to the city and her Prince. Nothing in unlife is free, after all.

About me

I have been playing TTRPGs for 30+ years and I have been running games for 28+ years. I started with AD&D and have branched out into World of Darkness, PBtA, and many other lesser known tabletop games. I love running and playing in games with a lot of character development and excitement. I have been or am currently involved in actual play podcasts, audiobook recording, online games, Adventure League, teaching myself audio engineering and generally being a really huge nerd about several fandoms. I grew up in New Orleans and moved to Portland, OR. I am teaching my son how to play TTRPGs and passing along the torch.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players are welcome to create their characters on their own if they have experience, or I can help guide the process when I am available. Characters should be submitted before session 0. I will allow one redo after the first session.

The current party

The players will start the chronicle as Camarilla kindred, although this may change based on how events in the game play out. Thin bloods are restricted. Any clan is permitted, however if you play a clan that was traditionally associated with the Sabbat, your character will be met with suspicion and possibly outright scorn. No older than Neonate.

This game will be Theater of the Mind with visual aids and references as well as background music for mood setting. I tend to utilize RAW, but Rule of Cool will still be in effect.
