Animals are machines. Here you venture into the ruined wastes of the old world to recover valuable scrap used to craft items or addons to better protect yourself and those you care for. ■■■ THE MACHINES HAVE TURNED AGAINST YOU ■■■ There's a rage that is spreading in the machines that live alongside your community. Their robotic eyes have turned red with a blind violence that does not distinguish friend from foe. You live and work within the district of a Walking City that you call your home. Three other districts have been quarantined, with scrap barricades made by the guard to prevent what spreads on the other side. Panic has spread, with people worried for the Walking City's fate. You've joined a group to enter one of these quarantined zones to fight a collect a means to fight back against the sickness in the machines. Is there a way to stop this technologic sickness from spreading? Or is your home doomed to fall!

■■■ YOUR IKONIS ■■■ At character creation you replace your selection of primary and secondary weapons for a specialized weapon known as an Ikonis. Given to citizens when they come of age, it changes over time to your needs. Ikonis are always considered to be two-handed weapons and start with Bonded: Gain a bonus to your damage rolls equal to your level. ■■■ AUGMENTING YOUR IKONIS ■■■ Your character's Ikonis begins with two empty Augment Slots at Tier 1 and gain an additional slot at each subsequent Tier. Augments can be crafted as a downtime move when PCs have the scrap to do so. While installed, augments are treated as additional features for that weapon. PCs may freely swap augments they’ve already crafted during downtime. ■■■ NETWORK TETHER & THE MOTHERBOARD ■■■ Your Character additionally begins with a Network Tether. These are typically large hooks that can attach to interconnected data cables. These are used to charge your technology and gain access to the Motherboard's Network while moving through the Wastes. The Motherboard is an entity viewed by many as this land's God. This connection to the Network is required to perform downtime moves to augment your Ikonis.
