About the adventure

I am running the Stonewalkers published adventure from the Cosmere RPG. In this module, you will enter the world of Roshar from the bestselling novels, the Stormlight Archive. In this world, conflict between the human kingdom of Alethkar and the tribes they call the Parshendi are threatening to spiral into a conflict that reaches across the planet. In this module, you and your party will explore the world and uncover new secrets that can't be found between the pages of the novel. Tell your own story: will you fight for freedom or will you swear a solemn oath to protect the weak and vulnerable?

Character creation

Creating your character

I plan to run charaters through the First Step intro module as part of session 0. As such, you won't need anything prior to that except an idea of who your character is and where you want them to be headed. You are also not required to have any prior knowledge of the source material, but an enthusiastic player of any knowledge level is always welcome.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

This campaign will take place on Roll20 and the character sheets will be managed by Demiplane. You'll want to register on both of these platforms and familiarize yourself with their features. Doing so before session 0 will allow me to help you with any issues you encounter during that session so everyone is prepared and ready to play going in to session 1. This campaign takes place on Roshar, the setting of Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive. If you are in need of a primer on the basic facts about the setting, this YouTube video provides a spoiler-free outline of the things most people would know: https://youtu.be/xL4M7Yx0SSE?si=cfvjd5O0niae5nDK

What Tyler Mann brings to the table

I have a premium Demiplane account that allows me to share my library of Cosmere RPG books with my players. During session 0 I will add each of you to that list of users to allow you to create your characters unabaited. This is a published adventure that contains lore that is canon to the main series, but is not explored in the books themselves. As such, I will do my best to include as many of the large set pieces for your characters to interact with as I can. With that said, the journey and story of your charaters will always take precedent over perscribed actions or outcomes. This is your story, and I look forward to helping you tell it.

Safety

How Tyler Mann creates a safe table

Before session 0, I will send each player a checklist of different content. It will have three categories: don't include, can include but sparing, and doesn't bother me. Be honest when filling it out and don't hesitate to mark something as Don't Include if you're uncertain. During session 0 we will go over everyone's hopes and fears. This will be similar to the checklist in that it will provide me with an outline of what everyone is comfortable with. Anything you are uncomfortable talking about in front of the group can be specified in a private dm during or after session 0. During each session, there will be channel on the discord server (or we can use the Roll20 chat if we don't end up using discord) where you send X's, N's, and O's. If you don't know what those mean, I will explain during session 0. For now, know that it will be our moment-to-moment system for checking in incase anyone wants to move on from a particular scene.
