About the adventure
Welcome to Prospero’s Dream - a massive, overcrowded space station that’s home to 8 million denizens. In its neon lit corridors and suffocating back alleys, deals are struck and debts are collected. Think cyberpunk meets late stage capitalist hell-scape, where we’re all just trying to not end up as cogs in the machine. This one-shot is a reimagining of A Pound of Flesh. Designed to be accessible for newcomers to Mothership but also having surprises for Wardens and ‘Forever GMs’ who are already familiar with the source material. Whether you’ve walked these corridors before or are setting foot on The Dream for the first time, you’ll find fresh dangers and unexpected turns waiting in the shadows. Expect a ‘slow-burn’ start that gradually ramps up the tension. But by the end of the session, hopefully your character will be running for their life. I want every player at the table to feel safe and to feel like they’re a part of the game.

Creating your character
Character creation in Mothership is very quick, we can make characters at the start of the session. But, if you make your character before the game, we can spend more time playing. What to expect
Preparing for the session
We'll be playing over Discord, so please make sure you have access to that. I will send you a link to my private Discord server for running games. During the game I will be using my webcam and I'd like everyone to be using their webcams if possible. Being able to see each other helps me keep up the energy, speeds up communication and makes it easier to make sure everyone is having a good time. What WacoMatrixo brings to the table
I'm pleased to be able to reassure you that I embrace the ‘Rule of Cool’ when necessary. In my games, failing a dice roll doesn’t mean "nothing happens" instead every roll moves the game forward, even if your situation gets worse. If you like I can play music via soundpad, which I can change to fit the environment. I may also use techniques to ramp up the tension such as timers and secret objectives.

How WacoMatrixo creates a safe table
I primarily use the ‘lines and veils’ safety tool. If there are any particular subjects you’d like to avoid in our session, please feel free to message me beforehand. We'll cover topics to avoid at the start of the session during player introductions anyway. Generally I don't feature sexual content in my games. You're also encouraged to let me know if you feel uncomfortable during the game. If you prefer you can DM me privately or even flash an 'X' on your webcam. There's a 10 minute break usually halfway through the session and at the end we will debrief with 'Stars and Wishes'.
