About the adventure

Something strange is happening to your hometown of Willowshore! Nestled on the banks of a river winding through the legendary Specterwood in Tian Xia’s haunted land of Shenmen, the people of Willowshore are no strangers to supernatural threat, but the danger that comes to town on the first day of summer is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Over the four seasons to come, you and your fellow home-grown heroes must face evil spirits, sinister fiends, and frightening curses, lest the town of Willowshore succumb to the Season of Ghosts!

About me

Hey there! I'm Apollo, and I've been playing tabletops off and on since the early 90s. I got back into the swing of playing online and dungeons and dragons 5th edition almost a decade ago, and switched to pathfinder 2nd edition head first after the OGL debacle. Now I'm addicted and want to help show you how awesome and not scary pathfinder 2e is. I enjoy pushing the narrative in a story while seeing how individual players and tables can change and adapt tellings to themselves. I've been running games on foundry for over 5 years at this point, so I'm very comfortable with the medium. I've run many groups full 1-20 campaigns, and some that are on their 3rd+ full campaign with me! My players should be self-reliant and motivated about their characters as we progress through a story. Unlike 5e, player agency to know what your character is capable of is required, so if this is your first foray into pathfinder 2e, come at it with only that expectation. "The GM will teach me the rules and how to play, but I am responsible for learning my character."

Character creation

Creating your character

Character building is a snap, just build up a character on pathbuilder and send me the link (menu -> exports -> share copy of character -> copy and paste the link to me on discord.) Please take note of the campaign specific backgrounds, they're a great way to entrench yourselves in this unique AP based in Tian Xia.

The current party

We use free archetype and gradual ability boost as rule variants :)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Read the player's guide! But don't read anything else about the AP please, there are huuuuuuuuge twists and spoilers. With it being of the most spoiler-laden APs (in my opinion) please don't ruin surprises for other players!!! You'll need a mic, pc capable of running foundry through chrome/firefox, and attendance!

What ThatGMApollo brings to the table

FoundryVTT via online hosting for international reach. Myself and experience running this AP to completion with over 6 groups so far.

Homebrew rules

I tend to go full rules as written, but if there's ever a "wait a minute" moment we cite archives of nethys, figure it out, and move on quickly before I rule of cool it to keep a game moving.

Safety

How ThatGMApollo creates a safe table

If you have any personal triggers when it comes to Horror, please reach out to make sure I can accommodate appropriately. We will have a session zero to open the floor to such discussions, but being a horror AP, there is a line to walk that comes implicitly with this type of game.
