About the adventure
The Void Crater and the City of VOC The world is bleeding, and the source is hidden deep within the earth. Atop the rocky Western Plateau lies the Void Crater, a jagged wound in reality that has gorged the earth so deep it has breached the gates of hell itself. Far below the surface, the Sanguine Cult moves in the shadows, weaving a ritual of blood and bone to claim lost relics and clear the way for an everlasting darkness. Their mistress, the Lich Queen Alis’Zar Kisparta, waits at the gates of life and death for the moment the sun finally flickers out, so that she may rise once more to spread death eternal across the globe. The surface world has all but forgotten what lies beneath, but a band of unlikely heroes is already mid-descent, clutching the only hope left: the search for lost Divine Artifacts capable of shattering a lich’s soul. Meet the Party You won't be venturing into the dark alone. You’ll be joining a seasoned, eccentric, and formidable crew: Peecheep: A Fey Mouse druid in a weathered green cloak, whose twitching whiskers sense the shifting magics of the crater long before they strike. Applesauce: An Elven Scribe-Wizard from the Great Repository. With her Infinite Library and Logic Key in hand, she provides the arcane brilliance needed to navigate the Labyrinth. Zaelyn IronScar: The party’s hardened edge, bearing the scars of a thousand battles and the steel to back them up. Hilgarden: A pillar of strength and resolve, standing firm against the encroaching tides of the undead. Kold, the People’s Voice: A Silver Dragonborn bard who keeps spirits high with biting wit, questionable humor, and a surprisingly sharp blade. What to Expect This is a Dark Fantasy campaign. Expect a mix of high-stakes tactical combat, deep character roleplay, and environmental storytelling. We are transitioning from the upper reaches of the crater into the true "Hollow Core," where the laws of physics begin to bend and the influence of the world's dark past is felt in every shadow. Atmosphere: Heavy on sensory details—the smell of ozone and ancient dust, the chilling hum of the Void, and the glittering, dangerous beauty of the City of VOC. Stakes: You aren't just fighting for loot; you are racing to stop a global apocalypse. Every Divine Artifact found is a nail in the Lich Queen's coffin. Narrative Focus: We prioritize cohesive storytelling. Your character’s backstory will be woven into the fabric of the descent, becoming a vital part of the "Novels" we create from our sessions.
