About the adventure

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Welcome ✨ Beginners Welcome ✨ 🚀Space Trucking🚀 🗡️Intrigue and Betrayal🗡️ 👽Weird Sci-Fi👽 💎Crime💎 🤨Hearts of Gold?🤨 You're not galactic heroes. You're just a crew of scoundrels, rogues, and misfits trying to survive in a galaxy where everyone has a price. 🫣High-Stakes Roleplay with Three-Dimensional Characters 🤺Gripping & Satisfying Combat 🎭Excellent Voice Acting 🎨Gorgeous, Layered Maps & Artwork 🎼Impeccable Soundtracks Times are tough for folk just trying to make it in the Pact Worlds; but you've got a capable Drift engine (2 generations out of date), a talented crew (morally dubious), and a contract with one of the biggest (and least worker-friendly) corporations in the galaxy. A little hauling, a little smuggling, a little thieving; the deck is stacked against you, but that just means that a little cheating is advisable. A simple job will lead to bigger jobs and bigger setbacks; will bring you into the orbits of more and more dangerous figures. You'll be faced with questions of Money vs. Integrity, and you'll need to keep a quick trigger-finger to make it to the next payout. Gritty Science Fantasy swashbuckling abounds in the classic Starfinder adventure, adapted for the brand new 2nd Edition! Yeehaw Outlaw 🧑‍🚀 ------------- Completely compatible with Pathfinder 2nd Edition, SF2e takes the three-action economy, degrees of success, and deep character customization and brings it to spa(aaaaaaaa)ce! It's the tactical combat with focus on meaningful decision-making that we love from PF2e, but with a greater emphasis on ranged combat and aerial movement. (NO PF2E EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!) Mass Effect, Star Wars, Cyberpunk, Guardians of the Galaxy; Starfinder 2nd Edition is perfect for Science-Fantasy adventure games of every stripe!

About me

🔵 34 - he/him 🔵 "Heya" When I run games, my goal is to set a stage for my players. I make sure everything is right; my character work, the soundtrack, the worldbuilding, the narrative cohesion, and most importantly - the table vibe. I want to foster an environment where my players can most comfortably share their creative selves. To me, that means not only immersing them in a game world that feels real and enticing, but also cultivating a gaming environment where players feel heard, and among friends. In addition to being an enduring RPG enthusiast, I've spent most of my life performing. Plenty of time on stage as well as in the booth; my voice is my instrument, and I love no performance as much as I love filling the role of GM. I have long been fascinated by this collaborative medium, and I'm seeking players who similarly wish to explore the narrative possibilities that only RPGs can offer. Let's ham it up and roll some dice! <<Check out the "Youtube" link at the bottom for an old demo of my character work! It's a bit on the loud side right off the bat so be prepared>>

Character creation

Creating your character

Check out the official Fly Free or Die Player's Guide to get started thinking about a character concept, but remain flexible! We'll work to unify and balance the group's concepts during our Session 0: https://downloads.paizo.com/FlyFreeorDie_PlayersGuide.pdf NOTE: The player's guide is designed for the original, 1st Edition publishing of this adventure path, and as such its references to specific mechanics or player options may not be entirely relevant to our campaign. Use it as more a conceptual guide than a literal one, and feel free to hit me with clarifying questions!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Make sure you have a free account on Discord, and then swing through our server and say hello! Then set up a free account on forge-vtt.com, where we'll be hosting the Foundry server.

What Dabinski brings to the table

As GM, I'll be bringing my performance experience to bear in embodying NPCs and in guiding the narrative while controlling the story's ambient musical soundtrack in real time. I will provide challenging tactical RPG combat enhanced with glossy maps and artwork, and a robust suite of VTT automation to make things easier. As game facilitator I'll be working to ensure good experiences at the table by fostering an environment of communication and mutual creative support.

Safety

How Dabinski creates a safe table

During our Session 0 we'll work together to ensure everyone is coming to the table for similar reasons. We'll explicitly state our individual lines & veils, and be given opportunity to ask for clarification if necessary. After the Session 0 is held I'll be asking you to fill out the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist to make sure I've always got a reference handy for the table's gaming preferences.
