About Dabinski
🔵 34 - he/him 🔵 "Heya" When I run games, my goal is to set a stage for my players. I make sure everything is right; my character work, the soundtrack, the worldbuilding, the narrative cohesion, and most importantly - the table vibe. I want to foster an environment where my players can most comfortably share their creative selves. To me, that means not only immersing them in a game world that feels real and enticing, but also cultivating a gaming environment where players feel heard, and among friends. In addition to being an enduring RPG enthusiast, I've spent most of my life performing. Plenty of time on stage as well as in the booth; my voice is my instrument, and I love no performance as much as I love filling the role of GM. I have long been fascinated by this collaborative medium, and I'm seeking players who similarly wish to explore the narrative possibilities that only RPGs can offer. Let's ham it up and roll some dice! <<Check out the "Youtube" link at the bottom for an old demo of my character work! It's a bit on the loud side right off the bat so be prepared>>

I became a GM because
nothing is more fun or fulfilling than engaging others' creative minds.
People are always surprised when I tell them
That I do this for a whole living 😂
When I'm not running games I'm...

My games focus on...
Exploration of player characters. I work to draw out player creativity, and put focus on character dynamics above all else. But also I love tactical combat. 🫡
Rules are...
Important tools to establish a shared and concrete understanding of our characters and the game world. A well-designed ruleset is there to support meaningful gameplay decisions, not to put player creativity in a straightjacket.
When it comes to voices
Less is more; I focus on characterizations more than just 'doing the voice'. Sometimes it's appropriate to characterize cartoonishly though!
Dabinski's ideal table
My ideal table is one where everyone is excited about each other's characters. One where game mechanics and storytelling become indistinguishable from one another. One where everyone feels safe and supported enough to be creatively vulnerable.

I am for a vibe that's...
angling for collaboration and mutual support! One where deep, character-driven catharsis and fart jokes can live side-by-side in harmony.
I love it when a player
engages their fellow players in their roleplay.
I think metagaming...
is great when in service of a memorable story; less so when in service of player advantage.
