About the adventure
👑 Kingmaker is a 1-20 adventure path set in a time of constant turmoil and intrigue. In it, you will play an adventurer sent south with a charter to explore a swathe of uncharted territory, defeat its dangers, and build a brand new territory. 🆕If you're new to Pathfinder and looking to dive in the deep end, then this is the table for you! 🧚You will face vicious Daemons, mischievous Fey, the ever present threat of other territories, and the machinations of forces unseen! 🏮 🏛️If you enjoy a sandbox, hex-crawl game with construction elements that rewards those who invest in constructing something brand new - then Kingmaker is the campaign for you! ☠️If you enjoy delving deep into long-forgotten dungeons, facing against monsters (some that even walk on two legs) - then Kingmaker is the campaign for you! 🌲So come, answer a call for heroes, venture into the wilds, claim the Stolen Lands, and pray that when the rivers run red it wont be your blood that stains them!

About me
Good morning, or rather good-day to you! ☕I'm Jack, a field archaeologist from the United Kingdom who's been playing TTRPGs for roughly eight years now: starting on Roll 20 as a player in a D&D5e game, to now where I'm currently GMing a Pathfinder 2e Kingmaker game for a close group of friends! 🎲I want to allow others who have that desire to play a game, like Pathfinder 2e, to be able to! GMing can be intimidating for a lot of folks, so allow me to help; I'll take the reins and help steer the cart - and, if you'd be so kind, allow me to take you into the world of Golarion! In the future, I'd love to run games for other systems like Cyberpunk Red, Hunter: The Reckoning, and Warhammer Fantasy & 40k. 🎨🖌️I want to provide people with a creative outlet, and a safe space, to experience and thrive in a fantasy world that truly allows for infinite amounts of personal, and creative, expression.

Creating your character
📖The campaign themes encourage a character who has the urge to explore, and tame these lands left unspoiled by time. I'd recommend: ✅Reading the Kingmaker Player's Guide ✅Ancestry choice should be limited to what's presented in the guide. ✅Any current playable official classes. Struggling for a motivation for your character? Review the campaign specific backgrounds, like Sword Scion, to help build an idea! Bonus rules will be employed, such as: - Ancestry paragon 🧝 - Free archetype 🤺 - Gradual ability Boost 🦾 Characters will be discussed during the session zero to ensure we have a lovely cohesive party.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
🎙️Players should prepare by ensuring they have a functioning Discord account and a stable internet connection. Once a part of the Discord server, players will receive an invitation link for the Foundry VTT game using SQYRE; an account is needed, but can automatically be made using your Google account. In addition, reading the Kingmaker Player's Guide (available through the Paizo website or via Demiplane) followed by a read of the Player Core is encouraged.
What Jack Smith brings to the table
🎲You will be provided with the experience granted by the Kingmaker Official Foundry VTT module, and for the duration of the campaign, you will be given access to all of the relevant books on Demiplane through its sharing feature. ☕Though a lot of NPC voices will likely default to RP-British English, ambient sounds and creatures clips will be employed to add an additional layer of immersion. 🎵Copious amounts of music used from the official module, that comes straight from Owlcat's Kingmaker CRPG, will be used to fully immerse players in the Stolen Lands.
Homebrew rules
You can expect an implementation of homebrew that includes the following: 🪙"Venture Capital" - An addition made by the Paizo community, where-in players are given a chance to wheel and deal with different organisations, noble houses, and religious institutions that will give them a leg up when Kingdom Construction begins in earnest. This addition takes place after Chapter 3, but before Chapter 4. 🏰"Vance and Kerenshara's Remastered Kingdom Building Rules" - The initial Kingmaker rules for construction are patched up with these additional rules; they compliment Venture Capital and aid in streamlining Kingdom turns and construction.
