About the adventure
➤ In the northern lands of New Cael, a land of majestic beauty, lush forests, silvered mountains, and winding rivers, a dreaded corruption spreads, which you will face on two fronts: • You’ll hear tales of a spreading malady, and though most dismiss it as harmless, the fear it breeds travels faster than the sickness itself. • Can you rally the D’Argent Knights, the kingdom’s promised protectors, as they struggle with ambition and betrayal, even as some falter and their oaths crumble like weathered marble? ➤ You are never truly safe in New Cael, as dragons breathe ruin across the land. They are as ancient as the world itself, in every forest, every mountain, every field, masters of the sky. They are the depths of the world, and you can neither hide from them nor escape their shadow. ➤Will you uncover the dark secrets of the kingdom’s past? Can you shape the future of its people and help them claim their destiny? Do you have the power to overcome the dragons and leave your mark on history?

About me
I'm mudge and I have been playing and running TTRPG games for years! My passion is building stories collaboratively with players, and helping them and their characters grow both mechanically and in their own personal narratives. I have over 3000+ hours on Roll20, and 1000+ hours on Foundry. Huge fan of all the fun and unique features Foundry can offer to make online game more immersive.

Creating your character
You will start at level 1, but you will level up quickly to level 5, enough to get your signature abilities without spending too long on early levels. After level 5, leveling will return to a normal pace. We will use milestone leveling. Rules & Stats: - System: D&D 5e (2014 rules) - Ability Scores: Standard array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) - Restrictions: None, any race, class, or subclass is allowed. Character Creation: - Will happen before Session 1 - I am available on Discord throughout the day to collaborate at your convenience. - We will work together to craft a fun, immersive backstory that places your hero firmly in my homebrewed world. Lore & Deities: - The gods, religions, and lore are unique to this world. - I will help you find analogs for any deities or patrons your class may need. Extras: - D&D Beyond imports are fully supported and take only minutes. - Pre-created characters are welcome!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using Foundry VTT hosted locally by me, which I will provide an invite and password for your specific account and character. We will also use discord for voice chat, which will also serve as a place to discuss other things about the campaign while not actively in-game.
What James brings to the table
- Lots of voices - Immersive sounds, effects and music (thanks FoundryVTT!) - A 50/50 mix of combat and roleplaying - Homebrew world with tons of custom lore - A main storyline that will affect all players - A personal narrative that will drive your own character with captivating plots, twists, and various hooks. - Highly active and engaged GM, I love DND! - Consistently fair and focused on player agency, I want to give every player the chance to be in the spotlight and be awesome. - Adaptable and dynamic to player decisions with the ability to adapt the world in profound ways around player decisions. - Engaging session recaps that tie together player growth and world events. - Lots of puzzles! - Did I mention? Heavy use of FoundryVTT's modules that can help streamline some of the slower and perhaps less impactful parts of DND so we can focus on the fun stuff.
Homebrew rules
I use a handful of homebrew rules including bonus action potions. You can drink a potion as a full action to gain its maximum benefit, or as a bonus action and roll the value instead.

How James creates a safe table
Before we even do session zero, I will talk to each player privately and confidentially to discuss any issues with the content that might potentially exist within my game. I take content sensitivity very seriously and I want everyone who plays to feel safe.
