About the adventure

★ STARS OF NULLIUS: The Fate of New Cael is a world of high magical fantasy. Unbelievable treasures, powerful magic, and immaculate feats. If you are new to Dungeons & Dragons I would love to have you! 𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒔. 𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒔. 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒅𝒐𝒎. Red, blue, green, and black: the ancient horrors that have stalked New Cael since its first dawn. Wherever they fly, kingdoms fracture, heroes fall, and hope withers. 𝑰𝒏 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝑪𝒂𝒆𝒍, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆, 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒔, 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔, 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔. In the northern lands of New Cael, dragons strike from the skies without warning, shattering ancient woods, crumbling mountains, and burning the world to ash. They are older than history, sovereign over wind and shadow. There is no refuge from their wings, no horizon beyond their reach, you must conquer them to decide the fate of New Cael. 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒕. World maps available here: https://imgur.com/a/BC76YLZ

About me

I’m mudge, and I don’t just run D&D; I craft stories where you are the hero, not just a participant. Every session is built around your choices, your character, your story. The goal isn’t just to win battles or level up; it’s to make you feel like the adventure changes you as much as it changes the world around you. With 3,000+ hours on Roll20 and 1,000+ hours on Foundry, I use every trick these platforms offer, from dynamic maps and lighting to interactive encounters, to make the world feel alive and reactive. But the real magic happens at the table: your decisions, your growth, your triumphs become the story, not just something you watch unfold. If you want a game where the stakes feel real, the story hits hard, and your character’s journey becomes something you’ll never forget, that’s the kind of game I run. You don’t play the story; you live it.

Character creation

Creating your character

- Level 1 start. - Point Buy stats (like how Baldur's Gate 3 does it) Rules & Stats: - System: D&D 5e (2014 rules) - Ability Scores: Point Buy - Restrictions: NONE, any race, class, or subclass is allowed. Character Creation: - Will happen before Session 1 - I am available on Discord throughout the day to collaborate at your convenience. - I love creative backstories, and my world is dynamic and flexible. You can create any backstory you want and I will make it fit into my world, you are not limited in your creativity! Lore & Deities: - The gods, religions, and lore are unique to this world. - I will help you find analogs for any deities or patrons your class may need. Extras: - D&D Beyond imports are fully supported and take only minutes. - Pre-created characters are welcome!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will be using Foundry VTT hosted locally by me, which I will provide an invite and password for your specific account and character. We will also use discord for voice chat, which will also serve as a place to discuss other things about the campaign while not actively in-game.

What mudge brings to the table

- Lots of voices - Immersive sounds, effects and music (thanks FoundryVTT!) - A 50/50 mix of combat and roleplaying - Homebrew world with tons of custom lore - A main storyline that will affect all players - A personal narrative that will drive your own character with captivating plots, twists, and various hooks. - Highly active and engaged GM, I love DND! - Consistently fair and focused on player agency, I want to give every player the chance to be in the spotlight and be awesome. - Adaptable and dynamic to player decisions with the ability to adapt the world in profound ways around player decisions. - Engaging session recaps that tie together player growth and world events. - Lots of puzzles! - Did I mention? Heavy use of FoundryVTT's modules that can help streamline some of the slower and perhaps less impactful parts of DND so we can focus on the fun stuff.

Homebrew rules

I use a handful of common custom rules including bonus action potions. You can drink a potion as a full action to gain its maximum benefit, or as a bonus action and roll the value instead.

How mudge creates a safe table

Before we even do session zero, I will talk to each player privately and confidentially to discuss any issues with the content that might potentially exist within my game. I take content sensitivity very seriously and I want everyone who plays to feel safe.
