About me

Hi, my name is Adriel, i'm 29, happilly married, father of 2 and a absolute lover of RPGs ever since middle school, when i first met this incredible creative world. I'm a two bladed knife. Love both simple engaging and more challenge driven games. Therefore power gaming and RP are not (nor will ever be) opposites and thats a hill i'm dying on. As a GM (or any other game names tha may come to be) I like to employ a GMing style based on presenting a simple general setup view and then proceed adding three more details from the scene with each new interaction, encouraging player engagement by actively seeking to visualize and understand the game world. In terms of game mechanics, I tend ask for rolls only when the "failure" is relevant to the ongoing narrative; I also encourage the use of descriptions (even simplified ones) to act as triggers for rolls, so that the narrative informs the need for them, not the other way around. I reserve slightly more detailed descriptions for preparation and combat moments to encourage tactical use of the terrain. And I make EXTENSIVE use of anticipation, ensuring that every challenge the players wish to engage is properly informed. Few years ago, a group of friends and I, released 2 editions of a Mausritter fanzine called MausRatos, that's currently on 2nd print by Caramelo Jogos, in Brazil. On second notice I am, alongside with a close friend, cooking up a game system.

What Adriel "Mr. B." brings to the table

1) Extensive use of foreshadowing: player's agency NEEDS informed decisions. 2) Open Rolls. 3) 3 Detail's Rule: each time you engage for setup, I add 3 more details to the scene. Until it's all out. 4) Interaction means impact: what your character does means something in the world and will circle back, be it "good" or "bad". 5) Rolls when It is relevant: if there's no risk nor a challeng, you simply succeed given the fair ammount of time. 6) Encouraged use of descriptions (even simplified ones) to act as triggers for rolls. 7) More detailed descriptions for setups and encounters (both combat and social). 9) Tactical use of terrain.
