About the adventure
The Deck of Many Things. A powerful artifact of legend, whose cards have been at the center of many tales of ruin and glory, disaster and salvation - a last-ditch chance to change your Fate, for better or worse. For you, things have just gotten significantly worse. The cards have found their way to you, and now four powerful factions are warring for the chance to retrieve them from you - alive or dead. Your only hope lies in finding out how to use the cards' powers, and take control of your destiny. Answers lie in the mysterious Cloakwood Forest, but be wary, for danger lies there in equal measure. This game welcomes explorers, and experiments in an open world that invites creativity. Your choices change the world around you. The alliances and foes you make will change your lives, and the lives of those around you. Creativity, mayhem, roleplay and cleverness is encouraged. I run 2014 D&D 5e rules. Character creation starts at Level 3, using official and partnered content. This campaign will take you from a lowly Level 3 through to an accomplished Level 10, able to take on challenges any reasonable citizen would quake at. This campaign is for players who wish to push the limits of what they can do, who want to play to find out what happens, and immerse yourself in the mysteries of the cards. Play your cards right, and the world is yours.

About me
I believe TTRPGs should be available to all, and that complicated rules shouldn't bar entry for a cool and fascinating new game - I am to make things as easy as possible for new and old players alike. The table should be a fun, comfortable and engaging place for EVERYONE involved - which is why I also do not compromise on safety tools. I like discovering new ways to use a system, homebrewing if necessary, or using the rules as given in new ways to make sure even experienced players in a system have something new to grapple with. I'm also a big fan of misdirection...so don't believe everything you see. It's a poor storyteller that you can trust entirely.

Creating your character
2014 rules with Partnered Content allowed for character creation. Once you go to the campaign link on D&D Beyond there are further instructions to guide fluid character creation. As for magic items on Roll20 - I bring in a LOT of magic items from supplements I have, and have written for. I've written and designed over 500+ magical items for a single book.
