About the adventure
Our heroes have come together and started the newest nightclub in the city of Asheville, NC. In the process they have made a variety of Awakened contacts. Largely through a local wellness center they stumbled upon that is run by a variety of Traditional practitioners. One of their investigations opened them up to the potential of aliens messing with them and the world. Another points towards an underground trafficking network that implicates many of our more prestigious citizens. In addition to some themes of oligarchy, climate change; here are some tenets, or beliefs we will try to extol: -All beliefs matter and have power. All people have beliefs, and the world reflects this. -The choice to abandon humanity is a conscious one. The holes we dig are deep, but they should never be bottomless. Other magic exists. Although rare and strange, mortals are not cattle. Not stupid, not wise, not alone, we work the best in shadows. -The ascension war is both internal and external. The main battle fronts are not only the entirety of the Earth and cosmos but also inside each of us! This is a Mage game for beginners to learn the system, explore their Traditions, and understand the Spheres. Experienced players are absolutely welcome but should be willing to guide and help support some newer players along the way when necessary. Let us change reality to meet our perceptions!

About me
I fell in love with tabletop roleplaying games on Christmas, 1979, when I was only seven years old. My neighbors had received the Basic Box Set for D&D and asked my brother and I to play with them. I was instantly obsessed and we played for the rest of our vacation together! I had already begun designing worlds and maps. I swiftly fell into the role of game master as I gathered as many interested friends as I could find to play. We explored many different systems before I ever worked my way through college. I believe that on a deeper level, the things we create become reflections of our selves. The fantasies that we create embrace a lot about who we are in real life. They can represent the things we want to accomplish and experience. The fights we want to win and the values we wish to cherish or reject. A roleplaying game gives us the opportunity to do so safely in a comfortable, relaxed space for such fantasies! My intention is to enable a sacred, safe place for our imaginations to roam freely, where each of us can play off and with each other in harmony!

Creating your character
We will have a session 0 and work together to build our characters, starting with concept and working our way towards beliefs and practices. We will establish themes, discuss safety and our expectations for this chronicle as well!
Our supernatural investigators are still looking into several odd cases. Meanwhile they have scrimped, scrounged and saved while working hard to open the latest nightclub in town as well as a neighboring Teahouse. If you'd like to join us, we'd love to have you but let's be sure that you will be a good fit for this crew and chat for a few first. Currently we have a pair of different Etherites and an Ecstatic! Let's schedule a session 0, make a character and discuss it all! We can definitely catch you up to the party's potential...
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Let's do a mic and vibe check together first. After that we'll discuss some concepts and find something that will be a pleasure to play with this high RP group!
What Craig Baker brings to the table
I try my best to do some voices and accents here and there. They don't always last long but should be enough to set off some imagination. I'm mostly a rules as written kind of GM but will occasionally hand wave it if we are getting frustrated or for something super cool that contributes to the story! We are looking for friendly, reliable players who'd like to have some friends in the online gaming community to roleplay, laugh and have fun with while playing some games and forgetting about stuff. You will be expected to treat everybody in the group with respect while trying your best to be kind. We will expect you to join us, on time and prepared, unless you've given us some prior notification. I'll be there to chat if you need anything. If your expectations are not being met, please let me know!
