About the adventure

Free Session 0, and your first full session is half price! Located in the archipelago of Iblydos, the port of Bailax hosts lavish funeral games for a recently deceased hero, inviting all to compete for prizes and glory. When the adventurers investigate an ominous omen that interrupts the festivities, what they find won’t just transform them into mythic hero-gods, but also will incite Bailax to violent revelry and arson. Can the new hero-gods stop the city from self destruction? In the Myth-Speaker AP, take on the role of a new pantheon of mortal hero-gods (the first in a long time) destined to face dangerous trials and tribulations on your path to understanding and mastering your newfound divinity. Choose any class, any ancestry, and if need be we can even reskin existing options or homebrew new ones to help you craft whatever interesting and thematic character you want to make. There's really only one question you have to answer... What kind of god do you want to be?

About me

Hello there, fellow nerds. My name is Dan and I am a life-long GM who would love to run a campaign for you. I have been GMing games since D&D 3rd edition, kept going through 3.5, then Pathfinder 1e, and now both Starfinder and Pathfinder 2e. I genuinely love nerding out about ttrpg mechanics, but the most important thing is story. Well, actually, story is the second most important thing. The number one most important thing is that my players are having fun. Fortunately, as far as I'm concerned, the three usually go hand in hand. Lately, I have been running Paizo's wonderful pre-written adventure paths, but with plenty of homebrew and customizing to my players' backstories, motivation, etc. I will work with you before the game starts to help you build your character as little or as much as you'd like, and will provide players guides which will allow you to make characters perfect for the plot, if you so choose, by going over some common themes, factions, regions, etc, that might show up during the campaign. Even if you don't tie your character into any of these prompts, I will still find a way to weave everyone's character arcs and the main plot together, so that we may tell a story all our own. Even though these adventures are pre-written, I allow room for creative problem solving at any point. If the book doesn't have the answers you need or didn't consider the path you choose to take, I will make it work through a combination of homebrew, improv, and experience. Over the years, I have taught many people how to play these (and similar) games, and absolutely welcome players entirely new to role-playing games. That said, you old grognards are welcome, too. Whatever your experience level, I can't wait to adventure with you!

Character creation

Creating your character

Join the discord and I will explain everything, but the short version is that you will be making your characters before Session 0 (with as much or as little help from me as you'd like) and then during Session 0 we will double check everything is correct and plugged into Foundry correctly, while we also go over what to expect from the campaign, cover any lore or mechanical questions you might have, etc. We will generally be following standard character creation rules with a few homebrew bonuses I will go over in the discord, and of course the Mythic rules.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Just join the discord and follow the links in there to find the Player's Guide, the Foundry table, etc.

What Subterran Dan brings to the table

I've got the fancy Foundry module with all of its music and special effects built-in, and plan on running this campaign more or less by the Rules as Written, with my handful of homebrew bonuses during character creation.

Homebrew rules

Will go into this more in the discord, but you will be getting some bonus Lore skills, *one* Free Archetype feat chosen from a short list, and a bonus Ancestry Feat at level 1.

Safety

How Subterran Dan creates a safe table

I generally take things pretty loose in terms of safety tools, but that's not to say I don't take player safety seriously. I will try to speak to any problem players without being asked, and am always available if you need to talk about something about the game. Otherwise, feel free to message me in your private discord channel on our server to let me know if there's any topics or triggers I should avoid.
