About the adventure
Smoke reaches you upon the winds. The knights march forward at a steady pace, spreading wide into the forested wilds, desperately searching for the rare flower-cure to the calcifying disease that ravages, not only their homes and loved ones, but also the very vanguard they serve under. Those that have useful knowledge of the wilds are taken into custody and those whose homes stand upon airable lands are quickly displaced to grow more precious flowers. They have already broken the world's cycle of growth and decay to keep winter at bay, what more of the world will they tear apart in search for an end to their self-inflicted plague? You and your rag-tag team have been tasked with saving a group of druids from their knight captors. Your trek after them will reveal the horrors behind the "Stone-Knights", the price paid to fickle divinities, and face the question: What lengths would you go to when facing certain death? Hiya, I'm Cassie. - I'm a long time DM, an artist of all kinds, and a decent gamer (with terrible aim). - I have been hosting games on and off for about 8 years. - I love to reward creative thinking and good roleplay, especially if you're coming here to learn and grow as a TTRPG player. - Collaboration, Creativity, and having fun are a must at my table. I stumbled into TTRPGs in highschool and made my journey from the "quiet art kid" to "DM that will do the silly NPC voice you love(or hate) if it makes you smile". Playing and creating with others has brought me a great appreciation for letting myself be open, venerable and accepting of others. There is no greater reward than my players being able to come out of their shells and connect with others. I'm a big fan of finding your own creative solution to the puzzle/combat/encounter. Preparing for the session
You will need the following: -A Decent internet connection -A computer capable of running web-based programs (8-16MB Ram and Chrome or Firefox - no Safari) -Discord -Forge account (free to create, needed for Foundry which is also free to you and web based) -Microphone -Headset or earbuds are preferred but as long as you can manage to not create an echo then you'll be good. -Read this short article that explains the basics of FoundryVTT if this is your first time playing with Foundry. The following safety tools will be used during this game to help promote a positive and safe place: -Breaks, if needed -Session 0 -Stars and Wishes -X,N, and O Cards When you join this game you agree to the following statements: - "I will not attack, harass or steal from other players (PVP)." - "I will not play in a manner intended to purposefully ruin the fun of other players (evil, "murder hobo", etc.)." - "I want to be a team player!" - "I will respect the narrative consent of others (own yourself, not others)."
