About the adventure
Come try out the Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game TTRPG! This is a beginner's game, so no prior experience with the system or even other TTRPGs is required to play. We will also be doing an explainer of the rules at the beginning of the session, so you do not need to learn the rules prior to joining the game. However, if you would like to familiarize yourself with basic rules, I would highly advise checking out this video on YouTube on how to play in this system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bz0CGNQmnzA The starter set I'm using provides a few pre-gen character sheets, which you can pick from when we get connected ahead of the game. You are also welcome to bring your own character if you have access to the character creation rules in the full game book. I am using an abridged version of the Starter Set adventure to create a one-shot, so here's a little something to get you thinking about the adventure you'll be going on... ADVENTURE PROMPT: In the events following the mainline Avatar: the Last Airbender series, Zuko assumes his father's place as Fire Lord over the Fire Nation. When he refuses to honor an agreement his father had to subsidize the Pirates of the Crimson Sails, he faces a new problem: Fire Nation ships come under a fresh siege of pirate raids. Worse still, one of these raids saw precious cargo stolen that was intended to aid peace negotiations with the Earth Nation. Word has it that leadership among the Pirates of the Crimson Sails has been shaken up with this new change, and tensions are high among the pirate captains. Zuko seeks to take advantage of this tension with you, a team of insurgents who have infiltrated the crew of Captain Mosi. You will find yourselves accompanying Captain Mosi as he arrives on Captain's Isle to confront Captain Ningka, the new leader of the Pirates of Crimson Sails. You are to retrieve the precious cargo stored there, and if possible, find a way to further disrupt or placate the pirate leadership so the raiding comes to a halt.

About me
👋 Hi! I've been running TTRPGs at least once a week for 8 years and talk a whole lot about these games that kinda changed my life on socials as @TheTenaciousDM. 🧙♂️ I love building homebrew worlds and settings - I've developed dozens of them! I take particular pride in my magical college setting: The University of Isregego. It's a high-fantasy college where players compete for prestige within the hierarchy of the student body while facing weirdly common incursions of evil forces that I've run for 3 different groups (the longest one went from levels 3-12 over 50+ sessions!) 📖 I like to keep the story and the game flowing at my tables and I value prep, systems, and tools that help us stay immersed. I build my worlds around my players, both in prep and as they make decisions in our sessions, and frequently follow my players' curiosity as it veers off from the main story (and conveniently becomes the new main story). Preparing for the session
We will be using Roll20 as our VTT and Discord for voice/video (although video is not required to play). Please ensure that you have an account on both of these platforms prior to the session.
