About the adventure
Howdy Choom! Ready to face life in Night City? This is a campaign-introduction session that allows players to introduce themselves to each other, meet other neighbors in the building, and fend off the posergangs spilling out of the Combat Zone. With multiple different pathways for the adventure to take place, 2-3 hours is the perfect amount of time for new players to get their cyber-legs tuned up and ready to go! Perfect for anyone looking to Roleplay, Face Combat, or even just Explore the world lore. As a campaign introduction, it should take about 20 - 30 minutes to introduce the characters as well as the environment and atmosphere. Once introductions are out of the way, we can begin rolling the dice and explaining mechanics as we go to keep the game rolling and avoid long-winded explanations of the rules. If the session goes longer than 3 hours, then the content resumes in Session #2.

About me
My name is Jack and I host Therapeutic Tabletop Roleplaying Games! These are the same TTRPGs you know of, but with mental health in mind! I am a Person-Centered, Gender-Affirming, and Trauma-Informed Games Master with CRPA and YPA human services experience, as well as over 10 years D&D and tabletop experience. There is no mechanic difference between TTRPGs and Therapeutic TTRPGs! The only difference is that if you are scared of spiders, we don't deal with spiders. You get to know that any and all content that will be on the table will be tailored to content that you want to see! I also help deal with conflict de-escalation, boundary enforcement, and obstacles in communication between party members. As a Games Master I love to incorporate puzzles, combat, and intrigue - but will balance these in whatever way you and your compatriots in arms find most enjoyable. If you are a table full of combat ready heroes, I'm not going to give you a Runic Sudoku puzzle. If you have any questions, please find me at www.MasteringMentalMayhem.org

Creating your character
Pre-Builds are available for each Role. CyberpunkRED.com also has a companion app/website that can be used to create and import/export characters to Foundry. There are 3 main ways to create a character manually per the Core Book: STREET RAT: Build from a template of pre-arranged stats, cyberware, weaponry, and gear EDGE RUNNER: Customize stats but keep the pre-arranged stats, cyberware, weaponry, and gear COMPLETE PACKAGE: Start with 3,350 in-game currency and spend it on all your cyberware, weaponry, gear, and clothes. Assign 64 points to Stats, and 86 to skills. Not recommended for first time players.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Discord account needed, microphone strongly recommended. Foundry VTT works best on a PC, but can easily be adapted to a tablet and has basic functions on a mobile device Rules and characters can be addressed at game start.
What Jack brings to the table
Maps will be available on Foundry VTT- players will need to send their character to the Games Master ahead of time, unless they would like to use a pre-build. Games Master will be hosting via Discord. GM will be on Video Chat (if bandwidth allows), but players are only required to be on Voice Chat.

How Jack creates a safe table
The Monte Cook's Consent in Gaming form is sent out to all players prior to the game start-time. When the game begins the DM will take 5-10 minutes to explain game setting and rules, as well as basics in navigating the Foundry VTT. Next, each player will have 2 minutes to introduce themselves and their character. This intro process takes at most 30 minutes, leaving 90+ for game time!
