About the adventure
“Not all heroes are born with shining swords and grand spells—some discover their destiny in the shadows of myth and legend.” Welcome to Calling Horns, a quiet settlement on the edge of the wilds of Faerûn. To its folk, you’re just a group of teenagers—stable hands, shepherd’s kids, apprentices, and dreamers. But when supernatural threats stir in the night, the adults don’t have the answers… and it’s up to you to unravel the truth. Roleplay-First Storytelling – Instead of relying on mighty spells or legendary weapons, you’ll use cunning, teamwork, and ingenuity to solve mysteries and outwit dangers. Supernatural Mystery & Atmosphere – Expect eerie encounters, strange omens, and adversaries that can’t always be bested with a sword. Shared Origins – Every character begins as a 1st-level PC who is a youth from Calling Horns. You already know each other—whether as friends, rivals, or siblings. Your backstories are tied, your destinies intertwined. Tone: Light & Dark – Equal parts humor, challenge, love, and tragedy. One moment you’re pulling pranks on the tavern cook; the next, you’re facing something that could change your lives forever. Creating your character
Myself and my Co-DM's will walk through creating a level 1 character and setting it up in Quest Portal for you. Starting level 1 5e 2024 Rules Points Buy for Stats
The town of Calling Horns fell beneath an ancient curse woven by the Archfey Somnior, Prince of Eternal Slumber. Families slept. Dreams tangled. Hope faded. Only a handful of teens remained awake. Through courage, wit, and hard choices they confronted nightmare lords, negotiated with a dragon, and ultimately struck a bargain that restored the town. The people of Calling Horns awoke. The Dream Mirror was returned. Peace, fragile and hard-won, settled once more over the High Forest. But peace never lasts forever. The Next Chapter Begins: Not everyone was part of that first adventure. Satie Spellmoon, young wizard prodigy, heard the stories. She felt the spark of magic in Somnior’s realm. And she grew restless. Jealous. Inspired. When Satie stumbles upon a new mystery she gathers a few of the other teens for an adventure of their own. They don’t tell the heroes. They don’t come back. Now it falls once again to the young defenders of Calling Horns to venture into the unknown, this time not to break a curse laid by an Archfey, but to rescue their own friends from whatever danger they were not prepared to face. Starting level 3.
