About the adventure

You and your crew uncover a buried secret on a distant asteroid, drawing the wrath of the dreaded Corpse Fleet - an undead armada from the deathworld of Eox. Their grim plans threaten the fate of entire systems, as they seek to turn the galaxy into a cosmic graveyard. YOU will face horrors both ancient and undead. Every choice could tip the balance between hope for the system, or annihilation. Will you stand against the Fleet’s macabre ambitions, or become one more soul claimed by the grave, and a story for your children to pass on as a warning to others? As the first published adventure for SF2e, this is a great time to learn the game as a new player alongside a group of other brave and intrepid spacefarers. With a well organized and prepared Foundry tabletop adventure, it's never been easier to drop in and give asteroid spelunking a shot!

About me

I've been hosting games for friends and professionally for years now, and love to bring the spirit of adventure to the table. I've been enjoying Pathfinder and Starfinder a lot lately, and I love seeing the party work together to overcome challenges. Expect a game that will challenge your ability to work as a team tactically, mixed in with plenty of memorable characters and emotional moments. I love: ✅ Teaching the game to new players ✅ Crafting interesting encounters that challenge the players in different ways. ✅ Introducing memorable characters - even minor actors like the merchants and messengers! ✅ Seeing the players change the story through their interesting character choices and narrative decisions. No two games are alike. ✅ Giving the players options and loot they've never seen before - something special, just for them.

Character creation

Creating your character

Since this is a brand new system, I'd like for us to create characters together as part of session 0. We'll discuss party composition and get excited for the options. Of course, you're free to explore potential ideas ahead of time! We'll be starting at level 1 (unless the adventure is already underway) with standard starting equipment. Characters will be created directly inside of Foundry once the game is hosted. If you're not sure what to do, we'll make sure we take time to help you out!

The current party

Characters are: LEVEL 1 Our party currently consists of: Captain Aerion Thrace, Human Soldier Engineering Officer Dr. Zhada Koren, Lashunta Envoy Technomagic Officer Ryn Stalwart, Astrazoan Mystic Weapons Officer Yue, Human Operative

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Bring a friendly attitude and a spirit of adventure! I only request that you must have a working mic, and if you wish to have voice activation on, that you don't have excessive background noise or are willing to switch to push-to-talk if it becomes an issue. A Discord account is required. You do NOT need to purchase anything to play on Foundry. However, I recommend downloading the FLC (Foundry Lightweight Client) to be absolutely sure that you have a compatible, up to date browser with no lagging extensions for the best possible experience: https://flc.ruleplaying.com/

What Ambitosis brings to the table

I like to blend a bit of spectacle, immersive effects and acting. I love bringing NPCs to life with strange voices, mannerisms, and personalities, so you’ll always know who’s speaking. Unless I copy the voice for another NPC later. It happens a lot, haha. I love to give handouts and visuals when I can- art from the books, maps, and visual effects that make the world feel real and the adventure cinematic. If there's a sidequest or bit of adventure off the beaten path, I'll have tons of custom art material prepared for the journey. Want to go join a fight club for a bit? Go for criminal intrigue in the back alleys of the neon districts? Or maybe board a ship and go asteroid mining? I'll have things ready to go to bring the adventure to life. Tactical and dynamic combat. Battles will be strategic and challenging, but I also embrace the Rule of Cool. If you dream up something clever and exciting, I’ll work with you to make it happen. I'm rooting for you, I'm not against you. I use ambient music, sound cues, and dramatic narration where I can. Player agency is big to me. Your choices drive the story. Whether you lean into roleplay, combat, or exploration, I’ll adapt the narrative to spotlight your characters. As long as there's some agreement to stick within the walls of the sandbox.

Homebrew rules

Not exactly homebrew, but I love using Free Archetype - as long as the archetype you select makes sense for the character in question. I also believe that hero point rerolls should not result in a worse result than the one you originally attempted to reroll! I use Stars and Wishes to hand out hero points. This means you as players decide where the hero points go for the next game and give each other props as we wind down the session for the day. Other variants we can discuss as part of session 0.
