About the adventure

The Dark Lord has been destroyed. The sun shines on the land of Barovia for the first time in living memory. The scattered settlements of the valley look towards reshaping their home free of the terror which oppressed them for generations. Champions who defeated the vampire Strahd Von Zarovich enjoy the adoration of the people they have freed and have become revered heroes. But the light still casts shadows. Remnants of the old order still exist, and dream of returning to power. Both the living and the dead once loyal to the Dread Lord hide in the forests and among the people, waiting to bring a familiar sense of fear to this still-weary land. Amidst all this, a brave band of adventurers has been hired to escort a young woman travelling to this land to learn what happened to her lost ancestor, and to reclaim her family home. A woman who will be met with suspicion, fear, and mistrust who will need defenders with courage to see to her safety. A woman named Celise Von Zarovich. *Legacy of Strahd* is a homebrewed D&D 5e campaign set in the land of Barovia following the conclusion of the original Ravenloft campaign. While remaining true to the circumstances of the original story, some alterations to the setting will be incorporated in order to preserve a sense of discovery for those that are familiar with the official campaign.

About me

I found my first Players Handbook under the Xmas tree long before they started numbering the various editions of any of these games, and have been playing ever since. I started DMing regularly for family and friends ten years ago, and soon branched out to offering games online, first as a side hustle and then as a full-time occupation. I like to explore every pillar of game play and have a particular liking for mysteries and puzzles, but I certainly know when it's time to roll dice and crunch monsters as well.
