About the adventure
You've been invited as a minor dignitary to Belkzen, a rugged land of badlands and mountains, to the month long festival known as Torrentmoot. The festival celebrates the Flood Truce, a time of rain and plenty. Rain and rising waters brings plant growth, herds of animals, and, this year, an opportunity to become one of Belkzen's new allies, trade partners, or greater persons of import. Things aren't easy in Belkzen, however. Surviving the the harsh terrain and climate is tough work, neighboring regions such as the Gravelands and Ustalav have dangers or strained relations with the orcs, and many of the orc holds still can't see eye to eye. Will it all be too much for a band of diplomats to handle?

About me
Hi! I'm Cloud Draxie, GM, artist, and overall tabletop and board game enthusiast. As a GM and as player, I value the fun of everyone at the table and support the cooperative nature of TTRPGs. I require my entire table to be LGBTQ+ friendly. I also require that the party be a team in and out of character, meaning there is normally no PvP or stealing from other PCs in my games. My main games are Pathfinder 2nd edition and Upwind, but I like to learn and try out new games too. I enjoy telling stories with my players and challenging them with tough but winnable encounters. I learned game master largely in online settings, so I am quite comfortable running sessions over voice chat and on virtual tabletops, namely Discord and Foundry VTT. Because I always like to have a unique representation of my own characters and understand that some of my players feel the same, I can offer to draw personal little portraits to be used as player tokens in my games that last more than a few sessions.

Creating your character
Players are welcome to come up think up concepts and theory craft before session 0, but I ask players not to lock anything in before we discuss party roles and dynamics during session 0. Characters start at Level 3. Characters that fit well into the setting will generally have more opportunities to react to the story, but I am open to less prevalent ancestries, backgrounds, and classes as long as they are not disruptive. My policy is to tell me if you take uncommon options, and ask me before you take rare ones, and ask about any non-common spells or items. Most of my games are run using Free Archetype and Gradual Ability Boost. Ancestry Paragon feels fitting to use in this adventure. What variant rules are actually used will be discussed at session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Player's are highly recommended to look at the player's guide for this AP. New players may ask for additional resources from me to make character creation go smoothly. Player's Guide: https://downloads.paizo.com/TriumphOfTheTusk_PlayersGuide.pdf
What Cloud Draxie brings to the table
I will provide the virtual space to play, including the foundry server, content from the adventure module, and background music. I will use my knowledge of the system and the preferences of the players to balance the difficulty and the amount of RP, combat, and exploration. As a GM, I stick to rules as written or rules as intended when it makes the most sense, but I make exceptions if the rules get in the way of the story.
Homebrew rules
I am open to using Keeley's hero points if the whole party is in agreement. Background lores automatically increase in proficiency. I have a few restrictions on archetypes and items depending on how much the group is open to "power gaming."

How Cloud Draxie creates a safe table
Session 0 will include questions regarding safety such as lines and veils, player expectations, and character relations. During play, there are easily accessed buttons to announce that you are stepping away or to anonymously show an X card on screen. I'm am available to message privately in or out of game for any reason, though I respond fastest on discord.
