About the adventure

The focus is on a group of individuals who usually never consider an alliance together, as as they are enemies, but when a force beyond power challenges the galaxy, old feuds must end. Deal with xenos, the Mechanicus, the Imperium, and threats of old and new. How will the state of the galaxy survive when everyone sees another as the worst enemy that must be ground into blood and dust. Set during the Indomitus Crusade that Primarch Roboute Guilliman is waging, an emerging peril will threaten everything. Psykers scream of an entity beyond the edge of the galaxy, an entity that looks like a red eye, watching, and now getting closer. With this threat coming forward, conflict that is on a scale not seen since the heresy is starting to simmer, and a time where new alliances may be forced, for the survival of everyone. But will everyone be able to work together, no, not in any fashion. But will there be enough of minor alliances that can stave off this new threat? Where will you be at the end? You can get a sense of my style here. https://www.youtube.com/live/cP-s7YG3hOg?feature=share&t=3910

About me

Hi, I am Paul. I have been a game master for near a decade now running a couple games a week, and love every moment that I get to see others enjoy the worlds that I bring to the table, virtual or real. I have hosted many different systems, and enjoy many of them for their unique style and scope, and hope to share some of those with new friends. The experiences of seeing how different people solve situations, as well as seeing them become invested in the worlds is very exciting. We are not creating games, but memories of something that feels real. If you would like to get an idea of how my games feel, here is a recent session of mine. https://youtu.be/eWlN8V9B5CA?t=588 (please keep in mind that the Kingmaker game is most like to be your experience, as my other games are with personal friends and a bit slower and joke in nature)

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be done during session 0. I will also be available beforehand to answer or teach players the basics. I will also provide Premade characters for players wishing to learn the ropes, or one shot games. Contact me at Discord (Hurske#5111) or message me here if you wish to ask questions.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Please have a working mic and discord account for voice chat. FoundryVTT only requires players to have a web browser. Other than that, just bring yourself to the session and have fun.

What Paul brings to the table

I will bring knowledge, maps, 2.5d tokens, music and sounds, images to fill the imagination, and creativity to provide an enjoyable game, it is the small things that all add up.

Safety

How Paul creates a safe table

Lines and Veils, Session 0 talk and lists. I do Stars and Wishes once a month to welcome feedback and criticism. I will be running a session 0 for character creation as well as information about the game, I will then run a full session as a pre-campaign so we can all see how the characters work, iron out any details, and get a taste of how I GM. This is also to allow a change in schedule be smooth so we don't potentially have someone moving in mid-beginning. We will do Stars and Wishes and any honest criticism of the adventure afterwards, as my main goal is to provide a completely enjoyable experience for everyone. As this game is open to complete beginners, I will take the time to answer and teach the game while we play to those who would like it.
