About me
Hi, I am Paul. I have been a game master for near a decade now running a couple games a week, and love every moment that I get to see others enjoy the worlds that I bring to the table, virtual or real. I have hosted many different systems, and enjoy many of them for their unique style and scope, and hope to share some of those with new friends. The experiences of seeing how different people solve situations, as well as seeing them become invested in the worlds is very exciting. We are not creating games, but memories of something that feels real. If you would like to get an idea of how my games feel, here is a recent session of mine. https://youtu.be/eWlN8V9B5CA?t=588 (please keep in mind that the Kingmaker game is most like to be your experience, as my other games are with personal friends and a bit slower and joke in nature)
GM Style
I am very much into the roleplay of the games, of the players and various individuals they may meet, as well as the building of relationships with their fellow players. I like character driven games, and having the world respond to their direct, or indirect actions. I am quick to adapt to the plans that players make and the thrill of doing fast thinking for you can never really plan ahead of time for all paths that can be taken. I enjoy combat that has meaning, when the stakes are clear.

Paul is a fantastic GM! I'm a lifelong gamer, so I've seen a lot of GMs, and Paul is among the best. He has all the right talents and priorities. He has a good sense of boundaries, makes sure to spread attention around the table, knows the rules well, and knows when to let trivial stuff go. Paul also uses good tricks to spark roleplay and dialogue when the group could use a nudge. I'd be happy to be in a game with him anytime.
Paul keeps the momentum moving forward and manages to keep the focus on the characters in thier own imagining, which helps well for immersion and allowing the players to present and respond to comments and actions made in character in an RP fashion. 10/10 for the role play and in character agencies.
Joining Paul’s Pathfinder 2e sessions on FoundryVTT has been a great experience. He's got a solid handle on the software, using its visuals and maps to really enhance our sessions. Paul knows his stuff with the rules and keeps things moving. His plot really hooks you into the world and makes you want to learn more. The NPCs are memorable, and he always makes sure everyone has their time to shine. It’s a welcoming, no-fuss game that’s easy to get into, with visuals that make everything clearer and more fun. If you want a game that’s both visually engaging and well-managed, Paul’s your DM.
If you’re thinking about it, Paul has already thought about it. Paul comes prepared each week with tons of resources prepared (maps, sounds, voices, “side quest” interactions, etc) One thing he does extremely well is improv. You can tell he has many, many years worth of experience. He keeps momentum alive at ALL times, able to bounce between a split or grouped party to ask each character how they are feeling, letting everyone experience the spotlight. We are not far into our campaign, but he is already engaging with our stories, and giving them opportunities to be fostered throughout a long-term organic process. I am really impressed with Paul, you will be too!
Well, I haven't been in too many sessions but so far each has had its moment of intensity and time to interact with NPCs and other players. Things happen quickly but Paul has some great homebrew rules that allow players to further expand their character during downtime. So far the SW5E game has been great to play in and I am excited to play more.
