About the adventure
The world ended quietly. Now every step echoes in the hills... every moan... • Survive Post-Apocalyptic Appalachia Thick woods, rusted roads, and ruin wrapped in fall’s last breath. Cold nights, colder choices. • Track What’s Lost The story begins with your people scattered. Some gave up. Some turned. Some were taken by the Wolves, a gang of ruthless human raiders. • Write a New Way Forward Salvage what you can. Rebuild what you must. Some call this living. You’ll call it hope. This isn’t just a game about the dead that walk. It’s about the people who outlive them. And what it costs... [[Fans of the comic/show(s) and newcomers welcome alike, no previous knowledge required. Just a love for zombies, horror, danger, survival, and character development helps]] [[Beginner & LGBTQIA2S+ Friendly]] -------------------------- 📣See what Dylan has to say about my GM'ing: ⭐"As someone new to Dungeons & Dragons, I couldn’t have asked for a better Game Master. From the very beginning, he eased me into the game with patience and encouragement, making the rules and mechanics feel approachable rather than overwhelming. What really stands out to me is the way he fosters creativity. He gives players the freedom to explore unique ideas and always finds a way to weave them seamlessly into the story. Also, his storytelling is immersive and engaging. It makes each session exciting. If you’re looking for a GM who makes the game fun, accessible, and inspiring, I can’t recommend him enough."

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey everyone, it's me, Leland, aka Leopold the Just in most social media spaces! I’ve been deeply invested in tabletop RPGs since the start of the millennium, & I still love every second of every game I run or play. Aside from that, some of my other interests include going to music events, board gaming, playing strategy & RPG video games, camping, traveling, eating delicious food, learning more about science & art, getting tattoos, going to aquariums & museums, & much, much more. As a GM, my storytelling focus is on strange events, haunted & horrific places, emotional buy-in & consequences during roleplay, & NPCs you won’t forget. I run everything from cozy slice-of-life games to bleak horror, sometimes both in the same session. If you love group storytelling & want to play in an immersive world that feels alive, then I’m the right GM for you. --- What to expect at my table & in my community: • Sessions with a strong narrative focus on character development • Action-packed, descriptive combat that keeps you on the edge of your seat • A living world where NPCs react & evolve based on your choices • Shared storytelling that includes everyone, with collaborative worldbuilding that lets you leave your mark • A chill, inclusive space where everyone is welcome & every identity is valued • Exclusive $5 community one-shots for active members, bringing players from across tables together for fresh stories & shared adventures • Regular community events: exclusive access to my discord video game streams, board game nights, video watch-parties, & a live Kenku FM radio station; all to offer recreation during downtime between sessions So go ahead & pull up a virtual seat. Let’s tell some stories together!

Creating your character
We will get together during session 0, and make them together! We will follow the step by step instructions in the book as a group, and then take some time to establish relationships between these characters afterwards, using collaborative lore building methods.
We will create characters together during session 0 to ensure cohesion and establish lore connections between the characters.

How Leland House creates a safe table
I'll have everyone submit lines/veils/interests via DMs, then I will distribute a pdf document for the other players to have on hand or have it as a handout in the VTT of choice. Then we'll go over them during session 0, along with making characters and doing some collaborative storytelling to establish relationships between said characters. I typically post a custom agenda the day before session 0 begins.
