About the adventure
The coastal town of Saltmarsh thrives on fishing and trade, but beneath the waves and along its shadowed shores lie deadly secrets. Smugglers, pirates, and sea devils threaten its people, while haunted ships and ancient horrors rise from the depths to challenge any who dare to sail too far. From political intrigue in town to high-seas adventure across stormy waters, danger waits at every turn. This campaign offers a mix of mystery, exploration, and nautical combat, perfect for players who love swashbuckling action and uncovering secrets. Whether you’re charting new waters, fighting horrors from the deep, or navigating fragile alliances, the choices you make will shape the fate of Saltmarsh and beyond.

About me
Hey! I've been a DM for about 8 years now. I'm also working on going into voice acting as a job, so I've got the role play aspect of the game down. I've run a few pre-written campaigns, and a few homebrews, and I love both! My main goal is to make sure everyone has fun!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Players will start at level 1, so come to me with at least a vague idea of the character you'd like to play. During session 0, we can finalize character creation and discuss any connections. If you want your character's backstory to play a significant role in the campaign, I'd suggest you build a character with connections to the Greyhawk setting or the town of Saltmarsh. If not, no problem, but it will be more difficult to fit your backstory in.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will at least need a mic, webcam is preferred. A basic understanding of 5e rules is suggested. Access to Discord and Roll20 are required. Either physical or digital dice are fine.
What Ericson brings to the table
Using Roll20 for battle maps and backdrops, I also encourage players to create a digital character sheet using Roll20's system or DNDBeyond. I will provide any written resources needed, such as handbooks, maps, and handouts.

Safety
How Ericson creates a safe table
I will be sending out an RPG consent checklist before session 0. Players should expect high stakes, dangerous environments, and horror atmosphere. Decent amount of combat, with lots of social encounters.
