About the adventure
Name your crew, your ship, decide on your theme (if any) and set sail in search of the vaunted pirate captain Simon "Silverbeard" Stokes. Silverbeard and his crew, the Silver Sailors, have long kept the location of their hideout a well guarded secret for nearly a decade since their founding. You and your crewmates, aboard your humble sloop, against all odds, have managed to track down one of Silverbeard's ships. You follow the Silver Sailors' ship into a dense fog just off the coast of a mysterious island, knowing in your heart that this is the place where you'll either make your fortune or meet your untimely end... ----- 📖Each Player will be able to choose from a list of premade characters, or import their own from D&D Beyond! 🗺️Featuring beautiful full color maps from the incredible artists at Czepeku, please check out their patreon at "www.patreon.com/czepeku" 🎲Battlemaps come complete with: personalized tokens, Foundry VTT based lighting, a high degree of combat automation, along with soundtracks and ambience to help set the mood!

About me
Hi there! You can call me Stern, I'm an old Dungeons and Dragons player become DM. I started my journey with 3.5e and jumped straight into 5e when I decided to start hosting games for friends. I've been running a long-term, rule of cool, easygoing D&D game for close friends over Discord from 2020 up to the present. I'm a big fan of Foundry VTT, and love using its lighting system, special effects and music to help makes the whole experience memorable. I personally think games should be fun, with the occasional dramatic moment for some tension. While I always prefer a little levity, I will always respect serious character moments. I do my best to 'yes and' player choices so long as they're within the realm of possibility. I encourage players to come to the table with: a backstory (something they won't mind touching on at some point in the game, this can and should include living friends or family members), short, medium and long term goals for the story, and a healthy appetite for hijinks! I believe that compelling stories are character driven, especially when it comes to any form of TTRPG. Characters and players are at the heart of what makes this sort of game so enjoyable, and their choices should shape how the story flows.

Creating your character
1️⃣ After signing up for the game please join my Discord server using the details sent to you upon signing up! 2️⃣ Either bring your own D&D Beyond Shareable Sheet Link (to import info Foundry VTT) OR use one of my prepared pre-made characters when you join! When bringing your own Character: - Use any Species (just exclude attribute bonuses) - 2024 Backgrounds and Feats - Standard Array for Attributes 3️⃣ Message me directly and we'll discuss the game, determine Lines and Veils and I'll help with any character creation questions. Character creation should be done least an hour before game start. Our aim is to make a cast of amiable characters who all work together as a team. Players who arrive late or prefer not to go through character creation have the option to choose from a list of pre-made characters!

How Stern creates a safe table
✔️When we first meet, we'll be sure to go over Lines and Veils and discuss the themes of the story to make sure you're comfortable with everything going forward. ✔️Everyone will be expected to be courteous towards each other, respecting the Code of Conduct of StartPlaying.games. Players who are disrespectful towards others will be warned, and ultimately booted if they continue to harass other players. ❌There will be no PvP/theft/emotional abuse/discrimination between characters in our game, the players are a team that are expected to work together in our adventures. Arguments and discussion between characters are entirely normal, even friendly sparring matches, but we won't be doing PVP of any sort.
