About the adventure
Skyfall covered the entire world in darkness and eternal winter. Most cities fell to panic and riots within the first week, and nearly all trade routes became lost to us. The entire surface-spanning world as we knew it fell apart in an instant. A hundred years later, we turned the light back on — and found the world surrounded by wings. Gigantic, feathery, wings. And they don't exactly sit still. We've stopped a deicidal space program, fought off cosmic abominations, and built a safe haven. Join us for Season 3 of the Starless Marches as we try to save this doomed world... or escape from it. As a high-level, tier-4 Daggerheart campaign, the training wheels are completely off. Strap in, the ride's getting bumpy!

Hi, I'm Nicole! I'm an RPG blogger and professional GM/Storyteller from the Netherlands. Creating your character
• All(*) core Ancestries, Classes, and Communities are available, along with current playtest material as offered from Darrington Press's Void content, minus transformations, and one additional disclaimer below. • New characters now begin at level 8, with free access to all "Advanced" (tier 3) weapons and armor • I recommend Demiplane to keep track of character choices and to engage with character sheets off-table, but we do play on a Foundry VTT instance, where we import our sheets, move tokens, and make dice rolls. • Have a strange character concept you want to try out? Let me know! Astralon already has an amnesiac divination-necromancer, a giant enochi mushroom bear, and a vampire stranded from Earth. The Guild will take all the help it can get! • (*) Elves are nonstandard in this campaign; we should discuss if you wish to play them.
Given the nature of this campaign, exact party arrangement may vary between episodes! Interested in joining multiple sessions? Awesome! Each player character is suitable for play across any Starless Marches episode.

Preparing for the session
You will need (free) accounts on Discord, Forge-VTT, and Demiplane (optional but recommended). • Our community Discord will be automatically sent to you when you sign up. You'll need a free account with the Forge. • https://app.demiplane.com/home — Technically optional but highly recommended. !!The Daggerheart content library is free to my players!! The Starless Marches is a fully-original, 100% human-crafted campaign. It's been cooking for over five years now, and I'm thrilled to finally share it with the world! Our campaign follows a 3-act structure, with all characters playing within the same tier at any given time. Homebrew rules
This story uses a custom-designed Campaign Frame. Consider the "Man vs Nature" aspects of Witherwild, mixed with some of the (literal, not figurative) darker elements of Age of Umbra.

How Nicole creates a safe table
We use the following tools: Open Door, X/N/O Cards, and Breaks. StartPlaying provides explanations on these tools, and here's how they work at my tables: - If you need to step away during the game, this is always OK, for any reason. - If the content in a scene is troubling for any reason, let me know (either in voice or in Discord — my DMs are open) and we can pause the scene and review/adjust anonymously. - We take a 10-minute "IRL Short Rest" usually around the midpoint, and can have additional breaks if necessary. - Lines & Veils are available upon request, please reach out about any questions or concerns! Lastly, this campaign is LGBTQ++ owned & operated. We keep a zero-tolerance policy against harassment, hate speech, and "TRASH" behavior (Transphobic, Racist, Ableist, Sexist, or Homophobic).
