About the adventure
My ongoing game is set in the Tenth District of the sprawling world-city of Ravnica. We are preparing for the cataclysm that is the War of the Spark. You will not be playing planeswalkers, but rather plane-bound citizens of Ravnica. Your goal, not to stop or alter canon events, but survive what's coming. It is new-player friendly, while welcoming of experienced players.

About me
I’ve always believed that TTRPGs are living stories we create together. I’ve been GMing for years, weaving epic campaigns that mix character-driven roleplay with cinematic action. I love building worlds where players’ choices matter — from the city-sprawl politics of Ravnica to the mysterious Aetherscars of my own setting, Crystal Spire. My passion is helping players discover not just what their characters can do, but who they can become. If you’re looking for a table that feels like stepping into a novel or a film, that’s what I aim to deliver.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during your first session, which will be free.
Current Party makeup is an Izzet Electromancer (Homebrew wizard) and a Selesnya bard, and a Dimir Rogue
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We use Discord for voice an file sharing and roll20 as our VTT. Homebrew is meticulously curated in attempt to maintain balance (keeping all players roughly as powerful as each other).
What Kaz Talcott brings to the table
I do attempt character voices, and I am in the process of preparing ambient music. There is indeed tactical combat where narrative dictates. And while I do favor rules as written, a case can always be made for the rule of cool. Session 0 is also always free.
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion is a bonus action, not a full action. We have modified critical hits: if you roll a 20, roll again or take either double dice or double damage, if you get another 20 you get both and roll again... If you get three 20s in a row, it's an autokill.

How Kaz Talcott creates a safe table
Session 0 is used to create a social contract, in which all boundaries are listed. Session 0 is also revisited as often as needed, and aftercare is available as needed. Any problems that pop up, my message box is always open, and things can be discussed openly. X, N, O, cards should be messaged, and vocalized to ensure they are caught.
