About the adventure

New to tabletop games? Or even just new to Avatar Legends? Come learn how to play with a GM that's been running the game for years, mostly with Newbies like you. This one shot will have plenty of opportunities to learn the rules. There will be pre-made characters available, but you can also make a character yourself if you so choose. Help the small Town of Longbay figure out what is going on in their town. Just outside of town there's Yellow Borough Road. This road has been plagued as of late with a freaky fog that seems to make people go missing. The fog used to only appear at night, but now it even appears during the day. Could the mist move into town? Help this town and it's Law man, Sharif Chen, figure out what is going on with this strange fog.

About me

Hello, I'm Madeline. I'm your resident geek that loves all things Tabletop. I love Board games and Tabletop Role Playing Games. I have kind of a chipper kind of personality, but I can also be a little Quiet sometimes. But don't worry. I'm all about talking when I DM. I love to show and not just tell what's going on in the environment around my player's characters. I do this by describing more than just the basics. Instead of saying "You walk into a Tavern", I'd say, "As you walk into the broken hull of the ship known as the Rusty Spoon, The smell of pipe Tobacco and a hearty stew hit your nostrils. You hear the crowded sounds of patrons ordering drinks, playing cards, and having arm wrestling contests. As Waitresses dart about the place, you make your way to the bar at the back. A lone bar keep with a pipe in his mouth and a wink in his eye welcomes you, 'How's it going Stranger? What can I get for you?' " I enjoy helping them feel scared and excited when their characters feel that way. Anyway, that's all for now. I hope to see you in a game soon. Bye!

Character creation

Creating your character

For Character creation, I have pre-made characters or we can work together to make one for you. Send me a message and we can work out a time to meet on Discord.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To prepare for my game, you really only need to join my Discord. I use Foundry which will be free for my players to use and you do not need an account in order to play on it. My discord invite like is: https://discord.gg/9SECfrkeX5

What Madeline Wonder brings to the table

I'm the type of GM that values Role play. I like for my players to engage with each other. This particular One Shot does have quite a few combat opportunities though, but there's also a lot of opportunities to figure out clever ways out of it.

Homebrew rules

The only rules I've really changed is to make them more generalised in their results. You don't know what could happen from succeeding a Trick roll.

Safety

How Madeline Wonder creates a safe table

This is a one shot, so the only thing I will be doing is asking my players to keep things PG-13. This is an All ages game, so keeping the vulgar language to a minimum is the goal. I will also have a open door policy and use the X, N, and O system so people can feel safe to stop the scene.
