About the adventure
š Explore subterranean labyrinths! š° Plunder hoards of treasure! š² Battle legendary monsters! Journey to the frontier town of Phandalin and rediscover an ancient mine, lost thousands of years ago. Along the way youāll earn a reputation among the people of this town, make new friends, find treasure, meet a few foes, and fight for the town. This adventure is ideal for new players, and fun for experienced players, with all the key pillars of D&D (combat, social interaction, exploration). ABOUT THE GAME Weekly 3-hour sessions hosted on Roll20. Audio on Discord. Experienced or new players welcome. For new players, pre-made (pre-generated) characters are available, so you can jump right in to playing, or you can create your own character. Campaign will take characters from Level 1 to Level 5. Creating your character
Characters will enter at the same level as the rest of the party. Pre-made characters make it easy to start, or you may make your own following the Character Guidelines. Launch Roll20 game, and you can pick your character from the Journal (newspaper icon, top right). If you want to make a character, roll for stats in the Roll20 chat. You may opt for Standard Array if you dislike your rolls. No Point Buy. Choose standard equipment (not just gold) and make your selections in the drop-downs. If you join after the group's Session 0, choose a pre-made character or you can build your character in Roll20 (+ D&D Beyond if desired) using the Charactermancer, submitting it 24 hours before the game. Include at least 2 paragraphs of background story with at least one named person in their story. Fill in physical description and personality traits, ideals, bonds and flaws. If using D&D Beyond character sheet, you still need to roll for and use ability score rolls from Roll20 chat.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Computer and Internet required. High speed internet will make for a more enjoyable experience. Mic and headphones required (speakers cause echo). Set up free accounts on Roll20 and Discord. Recommend Chrome or Firefox browser. Install Discord app on computer. Join Ajax D&D server. Install Beyond20 app in browser if using D&D Beyond character sheet. Send token image to Ajax DM (or select one from Ajax DM collection). If you require a familiar or Wild Shape forms or Summon creatures, please alert Ajax DM well before the game.

How Allison - Ajax DM creates a safe table
We'll have a table rules and safety discussion as part of the group Session 0 or in a private 1-on-1. This is a welcoming table and we expect respect and kindness for all. Rape and Sexual Assault will not be part of our game. If you are entering the campaign after the group Session 0, please book a paid 1-on-1 with Ajax DM prior to starting the game. No homebrew characters. There are no evil characters, "neutral" characters that are veiled evil characters, no emo loners who don't trust others. Remember, you are heroes.
