About the adventure
This is the perfect place to begin your journey. I’m running groups through the introductory adventure The Delian Tomb, an action-packed story designed to teach new players the flow of the game while dropping you right into the thick of things. When your band of heroes arrives in the village of Broadhurst, peace is already broken. Goblins have kidnapped a young girl and whispers spread that they’re meddling with something far older and far darker—an ancient tomb that should have remained sealed. What secrets lie hidden in its depths? And can your heroes stop the goblins before it’s too late? Players are welcome to bring their own level one characters, and I’ll guide the group through the rules step by step. Everything from combat to montages will be explained as it comes up, so you’ll be learning by doing. Questions are encouraged, and the table will be a beginner-friendly space where everyone gets a chance to shine. If you’ve been looking for a way to try Draw Steel for the first time—or if you’re an experienced gamer curious about what this system has to offer—The Delian Tomb is the best place to start. Come join the adventure, step into Broadhurst, and see where the road takes you.

About me
I run games with one main goal: giving you and your group unforgettable TTRPG moments, the kind you’ll still be talking about years later, usually starting with “Remember when we absolutely should not have done that?” I’ve got 20+ years behind the screen and at the table, both locally and online. I bring deep world-building, strong storytelling, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting (don’t worry, the chaos is intentional). Whether you’re after a tight, cinematic one-shot or a long-running campaign that spirals beautifully out of control, I’m your GM. I can also tailor games for streams, podcasts, or content channels—or keep everything private if you prefer your bad dice rolls to remain off the internet forever. All games are run on virtual tabletops, complete with detailed combat maps (yes, there are grids), immersive music and soundscapes (dramatic boss music included), and well-organized character sheets—so you can focus on roleplaying, terrible decisions, and blaming the dice instead of wrestling with tech.

Creating your character
I have pre-gens ready to go, or you can create a character on https://andyaiken.github.io/forgesteel/ and provide it to me prior to the game.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will use Discord for voice and Foundry for VTT, ensure you have log-in's for both prior to the session.
What Matt brings to the table
You can expect tactical maps for every battle, distinctive NPC voices paired with portraits to put faces to names, and a steady stream of engaging story moments that draw you into the adventure. I layer the atmosphere with sound and music effects to heighten tension, drama, or levity, making each scene feel cinematic. My focus is always on keeping players engaged, energized, and invested, creating an experience that feels vivid, dynamic, and unforgettable.
