About the adventure

500 years ago a group of adventurers, barely old enough to be called adults, saved civilization from an overwhelming threat. Picking up the pieces of their legacies and tackling issues far larger then themselves, they were able to salvage what was left and head to a new world. The survivors of the threat began to rebuild with a scattered pantheon of gods, no more need for heroes, and recovering from war. Now it is time to truly explore these new lands! Welcome to Foundation. A world made from a group of adventurers who risked everything to save anyone who survived. While 500 years have passed the fledgling world of Foundation faces new problems. The Pantheon has many domains yet to be filled, tensions between kingdoms are high, and the world is beginning to move. I hope to see you there are we write new lore for this world together!

About me

Hello! My name is Zach and I'd like to be your GM! I've been playing/running ttrpg's of multiple systems for the past decade or so from Hackmaster, Edge of the Empire, Pathfinder 2e and more. It's always been enjoyable to sit down with friends, and people who I didn't know, but would become friends, and tell stories together in the games we love. About 6 years ago now, a buddy sat me down and we started my first game of D&D 5e with Lost Mines of Phandelver, and I never went back. I've been GMing 5e for a few years now and would would love to tell stories with you all. Tony from Queens said I'm the best around. If you're interested in having a chat or asking me any questions please feel free to reach out!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation can be handled on your own, but I will be running through characters during session 0 just to make sure that everything lines up with the rest of the party. Characters will be made in foundry during session 0. Currently using 2024 building rules. Point buy stats and fixed HP Feel free to customize your background following the rules in the DMG. If you need any help let me know!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need a computer that has access to the internet and Discord. A microphone is prefered, but not mandatory. The session will be hosted in Foundry VTT and over call in Discord. Please come to session 0 with at least an idea of what you would like to play. Session 0 we will be introducing ourselves, going over the main premise of the campaign, running through a safety sheet, and making characters in foundry. I hope to see you there!

What Zachary Brown brings to the table

As a DM I am a stickler to the rules as intended. I feel like being able to set expectations in a campaign from the get go by following the rules is the best way to have a fun experience in the game. I provide a dedicated foundry server that's always accessible, where we will be playing the game. It will have music, battle maps, and some great stories together.

Safety

How Zachary Brown creates a safe table

as a DM am pretty rules as intended. As with the case with all games there are some rules and interactions that contradict themselves, and these will be dealt with as they come. I try my hardest to make sure that everyone is comfortable at my table. With some come several safety tools such as a session 0, lines and veils, and my DMs are always open if someone wants to talk through the events of a session. There will be some documents that I would like players to fill out before playing. It will help me learn more about you as a player and the character you will be bringing to the table.
