About me
Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Angel, and I’ve always had a love of storytelling for as long as I can remember. Whether it be in comics, cartoons, anime, or video games, I love getting invested in a character’s journey and experiencing all their highs and lows with them. And now it gives me no end of joy and fulfillment to be able to tell those stories alongside my players! I love crafting characters and worlds with my players, then exploring their arcs and mysteries that push those characters to make meaningful and hard decisions. Most important to me is the fun and memorable moments made during those adventures. There are moments in the games that I have run with the players in my community that live in my memory so vividly, fights and arguments that feel real, and grief over fictional characters that stings as if they really existed. These are the moments I look for and try to create and bring me so much joy when my players and I can look back and discuss those moments even long after those campaigns have been completed. I’m very fortunate to found the community I have, with players that celebrate the games we play and the characters we all make, and I would be honored if you decided to join it as well!

Creating your character
Together during session zero I help every player flesh out their characters and everyone gets to pitch each other ideas for creating team dynamics everyone can get invested in and excited about. You're more than welcome to come up with some ideas before and I'm always working with players between sessions to flesh out their characters, so don't hesitate to reach out if you have ideas!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A discord account (free) and a decent microphone are needed for this game, along with access to Google Sheets/Drive (free). Web cams are not necessary. Players will also need to join the Discord server which you will be invited to. Getting comfy with the system is great but not necessary as Masks is an easy system to pick up and learn and I'm happy to teach along the way!
What Angel brings to the table
I'll be providing a Discord server for us to play the game, a character keeper through Google Sheets, and access to all the official Masks setting books and playbooks. You'll also get to join a community of excited players with loves of different fandoms! I also bring a deep appreciation for comic books and superheroes and a passion for getting invested in my players' characters.
Homebrew rules
For Masks games we play with a community made patch for playbooks that improves on the mechanics of those books and helps to better achieve their intended drama. The patch will be provided and free for download over on my discord server!

How Angel creates a safe table
- There will be a Session 0 where we will create and flesh out characters, establish lines and veils, and discuss our expectations for the game to so that every players' interests can be incorporated into the game - After every session we'll do Stars and Wishes as I like to make sure everyone and their wants for the game are heard - I Frequently check in with players to make sure I'm handling their characters properly and to see if anything needs to be adjusted. - I also frequently remind all players of the tools they have such as the X-card, I'm always happy to change things even on the spot so everyone is comfortable.
