About the adventure
A tragedy has befallen the quaint town of Ragged Hollow. A magical barrier has engulfed the Temple of Halcyon, trapping sixty-six souls inside! But the town is in luck; they have you! But why have you come to this tiny town, that seems to be surrounded by danger? What impact will you have on the fate of those around you? Feel the sweet, familiar sting of terror and nostalgia in this brilliant OSR classic. ABOUT THE GAME: A bi-weekly, character-focused, open-world campaign, where the players' stories take center stage. The campaign is based on the critically-acclaimed adventure by the Merry Mushmen. Hosted on Foundry and video (or just audio) chat via Discord. Experienced or new players welcome. Session 0 will be free while we sort out your characters, backstories, and goals. Shadowdark is a grim and challenging OSR system where combat is optional, but also quick and deadly. You (not your sheet) are your character's saving grace. It's simple, easy to learn, and fun! ABOUT LAWFUL CHERRY: I’m a student of fiction who wants to make your skin crawl. My games are dark and gritty, with unique worlds and a cast of fun and interesting characters. I like to let the players guide the narrative and decide who they want to work for and who they want to take down. All the while, I’m focused on delivering a satisfying conclusion that follows cinematic story structure. While my games are written as grimdark, I am all for leaning into the fun and silly aspects that players and bad rolls inevitably add to the mix.

Homebrew rules
We'll be going with Pulp Mode, from the Shadowdark rulebook: • There are no maximum luck tokens a player can have. • Players start every session with 1d4 luck tokens. • You can use a luck token to turn a hit into a critical hit. • You can use a luck token to take an extra action. • You can use a luck token to force the GM to reroll a roll.
