About the adventure
Have you ever wanted to experience the classic trope of personally being thrown into a mysterious fantasy world, granted special power, and sent on a quest to save your new home? I have good news. I have been toying with variations of this theme for literal decades, and have all sorts of tools and tricks to create a satisfying experience. Free from your prior life and limitations, what will you choose to be? Will you let the world choose for you? Either way, your form is a home you've only just moved into, and you know little of what lays dormant in its rooms and corridors. Unlocking and discovering their contents will be the key to your success. This game is appropriate for players of all skill levels, and new players or players unfamiliar with Legend in the Mist (or Powered by the Apocalypse style games) are welcome! This is a very easy-to-learn system that comes with a free guide, available online. The setting is a unique custom world built on the history of the genre and its many forms across media. Designed to feel alive and reactive to player choice and intentions. No two campaigns will be alike.

About me
I'm a Canadian cat-dad with a garden full of strawberries and heart full of dreams. I've been designing, playing, and running table-top games for some twenty-odd years, mostly underground for small-to-medium groups of friends or people I meet online. These days I'm looking to spend most of my time GMing online, and we're halfway there. I especially enjoy learning and digesting new systems, so any excuse to get into some new mechanics is sure to get me going. I'll try running anything at least once, with a few notable exceptions for my own sanity and love of gaming.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation in Legend in the Mist is based on Theme Cards and Tags. Players will be responsible for two of their four theme cards, while the Game Master will hold two theme cards in secret, representing undiscovered powers and potential available to the player. Part or all of this can be done during a Session 0, guided by the game master.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Discord will be used for Voice Chat, and Roll20 for dice, maps, tracking character sheets, etc. I will link you to my discord server on joining.
What Alex (WaityGhost) brings to the table
I specialize in making isekai games, so I have a lot of tools in my toolbox to get the tone right. Exploration maps will be almost constant, with dynamic lighting and interactable objects. This will be a custom world, and I'll be making this sandbox from the bedrock up as we go. I'll be making custom tokens and cards for tracking status, items in backpack and other useful little objects to keep the game smooth. I'll also whip up a character sheet. I do voices. Some are better than others, but I do all of them. My games tend to be a balanced mix of elements, with lots of chances for roleplaying, exploration, and at least a few opportunities for a fight.
Homebrew rules
None, other than hiding some theme cards from players at first. May bring in additional custom mechanics based on player interest.

How Alex (WaityGhost) creates a safe table
In session 0, we'll be going over the use of the tools I'll have at the table: X, N, & O's can be digital, vocal, or through DM based on the preferences of the player using them. Lines & Veils will determine other content warnings, but the traditional start to these adventures often involves an out of control box truck. This can be modified according to player direction, but is the standard starting point. My prime rules are: Inclusion and Respect. Anything else grows from that. If that sounds like your kind of vibe, this could be the game for you. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Finally: to be clear, this is not an Erotic game. It's made for adults, but the focus is on other types of thrills.
