About the adventure
The setting of this campaign will be modern day, year 2025 Tokyo, you all will be playing as a branch within CAIN's Japanese Sector and will be carrying out hunts and developing relationships within the locale, some investigations will expand into other prefectures but most main line narratives will be located within Tokyo and its vicinity. As exorcists, you are borderline prisoners under the indentured servitude of the clandestine organization CAIN. Your job is simple, slay the sins and wipe all trace of its existence from our planet. You are gifted with a special connection to the source of power in this world - "The Psychic Sea", Those who are able peer into it gain the ability to bend and warp reality to their bidding, but those who stare too long become an bloated amalgamation of their deepest desires, that, is the origin of SINS. May you step over the line for even a second, CAIN will make sure to exterminate you just as it has done for the rest. In session zero, I plan to have a short 2 hour demo session just to carry out a section of a mission (with some pre-built characters) to see if our play group meshes well and for new players to grasp the general tone of the game. After then we can have our little brain storming session of sketching your characters and actually decide what you guys want to play as.

About me
My favorite games to GM are CAIN and LANCER, In a sense they are polar opposites in terms of Game systems but in my eyes they both stand as phenomenal emotion driven story-telling engines. I'm a relatively newer DM compared to the others on this site, but I bring a fresh pair of eyeballs on the hobby and am more than happy to have beginners come and join the table, judgement free. I stand hold only 1 rule, "Get more engaged in your party member's stories than even your own." That to me has always been the key to having a fun time as a group and fulfilling your wildest supernatural or mechanical fantasies. I'm also an artist on the side, so feel free to ask me for commissions and such, my games typically already come with me drawing a portrait for your pc or what not when you start making your character. Also been looking into mythic bastionland lately, might run that sooner or later...... keep ya eyes peeled.

Creating your character
We will create are exorcists together on session zero as I get an idea of what you want your exorcists to feel and look like. Firstly, I suggest to go by a format of creating your Exorcist card, I will send the png and steps for the card once you are able to chat. I will do so by going into Clip studio and doing a few sketches on such on ideas and such, since we will both be relatively new I would recommend going for the base corebook things and whatnot. Feel free to give me homebrew adjustments and advancements on blashpemies and such once we are a good few sessions in and we both understand the game to a good extent.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Mainly sort out what and who you want your character to be, CAIN has some pretty killer character creation questions that will help you slowly flesh out your exorcist. Do that, then perhaps look into the agenda + blashpemy combination in which you think would be fun to play for you.
What Grit brings to the table
I love to Gm by connecting your characters deeply into the story or combat. Giving spotlight to specific players each session and hopefully increasing our overall fun and engagement. I prioritize fun in combat, and I expect players to have a sense of teamwork and game sense throughout the campaign. Always feel free to try things outside of the box and utilize abilities in unique manners as long as you can tell me your intention. Sometimes the best moments are when you just follow your creative side. Expect a mesh between Roleplay and Combat scenarios, with each session more or so heavily emphasizing on one aspect specifically. As I like to have combat scenarios that are more thought out and tough , they can continue for a better part of a session. Same goes with Roleplay, a whole session could sometimes not result in actual combat and perhaps just a quick scuffle at times.

How Grit creates a safe table
I have a specific text channel in the discord where players can list their discomforts and specific triggers in which other players as well as I can avoid, if you wish to do so anonymously you can message me privately and I will add it to the channel.
