About the adventure
"Adventure, danger, hard work and miraculous profit." That's what the old caravan master with all the jewelry guarantees if you sign on with his crew. This campaign follows the epic journey of a merchant caravan and the hardy folk who travel with it. You'll cross the continent of Daarland, from one coast to the other and back again, across harsh deserts, forbidding mountains, steamy jungles and frigid plateaus. You'll move fine cloth, exotic spices, rare metals and magic items from market to market. And you'll be well paid, if all goes well. Such a journey is not without its dangers. Bandits of every kind set ambushes to steal your goods. Monsters come for your horses in the night. Sudden storms threaten to wash away whole wagons. And in the hidden places between cities, worse horrors wait. New and experienced players are welcome. Session 0 and your first session of regular play are free.

About me
Hello! I'm Zeke. I like running games. I like designing them, too. I bring unusual settings to life with deep lore and bespoke homebrew character options. In my games, you might test your survival skills in a corrupted hellscape, or travel through time to the Stone Age to battle an immortal dark lord before his rise to power, or protect a solarpunk utopia from strange mutant beasts with your favorite raygun. If you've always wanted to play in a game with a unique premise, and you're looking for a GM to make that game a reality, feel free to reach out to me.

Creating your character
We'll create characters together as part of a free Session 0. If you join the campaign after it starts, we'll schedule a one-on-one mini Session 0 to allow you to create a character and get up to speed on the ongoing story and the setting.
The party currently features two sorcerers, a warlock and a barbarian. It's a very smacky group, for sure. They're currently level 2.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please make sure you have a Discord login. We'll use it for voice chat during game and to keep in touch between sessions. You will need a mic. If you'll be playing from a noisy place or a place with lots of distractions, you need to have PTT (Push To Talk) in Discord set up before the game starts. This is a courtesy to your fellow players as well as the GM.
What Zeke brings to the table
Challenging and varied encounters: Not every opponent needs to be met with cold steel. You might be able to negotiate, deceive, sneak away or find an outside-the-box solution. A neutral arbiter of events: I set the challenges before you, then I let your decisions, the dice and the rules as written dictate how events play out. A meaningful, persistent impact on the game world: Important choices you make will leave a mark on the game world that will be visible for the rest of your campaign, and future campaigns I run in the same world. A bespoke game world: Daarland has its own cultures, history, monsters, faith and fantastic locations.
Homebrew rules
Pilot Episode Rule: Between your first and second full sessions of play as a new character, you may freely tweak anything about that character that you don't like. Milestone Experience: You'll gain levels as you reach certain milestones in this game.

How Zeke creates a safe table
During play, we'll use X-cards as a safety and consent tool. I have an X-card module loaded into foundry that lets you play your card at the push of a button. I will also be available for at least 20 minutes before and after the session if you want to talk about content or any other game-related issues.
