About the adventure
In the city of Waterdeep rests a tavern called the Yawning Portal, named after the gaping pit in its common room. At the bottom of this crumbling shaft is a labyrinthine dungeon shunned by all but the most daring adventurers. Known as Undermountain, this dungeon is the domain of the mad wizard Halaster Blackcloak. Long has the Mad Mag dwelt in these forlorn depths, seeding his lair with monsters, traps, mysteries. To what end? That question is a constant source of speculation and concern. The adventure starts at 5th level and takes your characters through level 20th should you explore the entirety of Halaster’s home.

About me
Hello heroes. It is Sarzo. I have been playing and DMing Dungeons and Dragons...well for as long as is possible. I like to create fun and challenging campaigns and one shots that require a balanced party and a mix of combat and role play. I enjoy a balanced style of play where we let the dice decide and winning is not necessarily a foregone conclusion, but with good game play (and a bit of luck) it is likely. I make my own maps and provide a rich and colorful gaming experience using FoundryVTT.

Creating your character
Characters start at 5th level using the standard array or point buy, starting equipment and starting gold. Create your character in D&D Beyond and we will import into the game. Or we can create your character directly in game. We will use Session 0 for character creation and party composition.
Please create any character that you wish. Session 0 will be used to confirm and refine party composition.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a headset and user account for Discord (I recommend using the client version) A working knowledge of the D&D 5e rules Several character concepts (you can prepare a character in D&D Beyond in advance it you desire, but it is not necessary)
