About the adventure
Inspired by Wizards with Guns, this one-shot is a pulp-fantasy. You are members of the Free-Cities Adventurers Guild, the kind of bold souls who take the jobs no one else will touch. Your latest quest? March into the shattered hinterlands and topple the infamous Bone Tower, home to the necromancer GALATRAX. His dream is to turn every living creature into part of his SKELETAL UTOPIA! The bad news: you’ve arrived just as the NECROMANCER begins the final stage of his plan, calling the BONE LEGIONS to him like a macabre parade. The good news: you have a guide JORDAN FEMURSON, a shadowmancer skeleton mage with a flair for the dramatic, and more than a few BONES to pick with GALATRAX. You’ll trek through swamps, descend into the bone tunnels, and face everything from BUREAUCRATIC border skeletons to belligerent BONE WYRMS. This is not a grim tale of bleak heroism. This is bone-crunching, pun-flinging, darkness-ducking chaos! A dungeon crawl where the undead are as strange as they are dangerous, and every encounter could be a fight, a puzzle, or a very bad joke. Your mission is clear: infiltrate the Bone Tower, outwit its master, and stop Galatrax before everyone is boned... bones, sorry.

About me
I am an engineer who enjoys all things creative in my free time. I am currently making a sports comic book and am a player in one long-running D&D campaign with my friends. As a GM I have run 3 campaigns, ranging anywhere from one player, to 5. Both brand new players, and vets! Creating your character
For New Players: I have a few pre-made character sheets available for you, and will help you to learn what your character can do. I can also spend time with you if you wish to modify or create your own. Otherwise, we will create the characters ahead of time using a free website which uses the new 5.5e rulebook. Any official classes are allowed, including unearthed arcana, and multiclassing is allowed. Stats will be standard-array, and nearly any feats are allowed. Your character's background should be 1-5 sentences, and should fit to the theme of the game, kooky and spooky.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
For New Players: I will help you learn to use/access anything you need help with. You will need a Discord account and an Owlbear Rodeo account. Both are free. I will have a private discord channel available for the session which will be used for any content I need to provide, voice chat, and screen sharing.
What Jimmy Sides brings to the table
For newer players, I will be providing a lot of help learning the rules and making you comfortable however you'd like to play. I will be voicing most characters and playing music to set the scene and provide some laughs. The combats will be fairly quick because this is a one-shot, but all encounters will be VERY memorable.
Homebrew rules
For new players, do not worry too much about the rules, tell me what you want to do, and there will be a way to make it work. We will be using the 2024 Rules, this means that all rules from the original 5e publications will be allowed. If you do not know the new rules, that is fine because I know them like the back of my hand. Certain feats like Ember of the Fire Giant or Gift of the Chromatic Dragon will not be allowed. But almost all feats will be allowed for your level 4 feat/ASI.

How Jimmy Sides creates a safe table
I will be sending you a Lines and Veils document to let me know what you are and are not comfortable with, as well as what you like about DND so I can plan to emphasize certain elements of the adventure. I do not plan for this one-shot to have anything outside of PG-13, but there will be mentions of bone dismemberment and quite a few innuendos.
