About the adventure

Greetings adventurer! A note before the good stuff. Dar’Farüm is a brainchild of mine that goes back 4 years. I asked myself, as I got older, how to get more people at a table without scheduling conflicts. This is what I came up with! This adventure is episodic in nature! Each session is a stand alone adventure where you will venture into the depths of an ancient lost city and uncover incredible secrets, all while working to bring Dar’Farüm back to its former glory! The Kingdom of Northül is in a state of unrest and economic depression after the murder of the High King, Rickard Quincy. His young son has taken the throne with Chancellor Zaljarn Norxar as his royal advisor. Citizens, towns, and businesses all suffer from the Boy King’s inexperience to rule. The untimely loss of the good king has sent the kingdom spiraling downhill. The Peacebringers, the Kingdom’s Military, has brought it upon themselves to attempt to govern with an iron fist, declaring martial law within the town and cities outside of Solstice. Jobs have become scarce and businesses and merchants closing their doors due to the taxes levied upon them by the Peacebringers. The wealthy have began to gather their coin and belongings, and have taken to the seas to try their luck in Kadasfan or Xamon. Families have began to lose their homes and are forced into the slums of most cities. Even adventurers like yourself have began to feel the strain on their coin purses as the cost of ale and inns have gone up and with no work available to replenish your coffers. Your story begins in Oakwood Landing—a unique city with a variety of odd sailors and miscreants around every corner. Even a city as well traveled as this has not been immune to the current troubles. Throughout the day as you look for work you come across the this poster on the job board: Come one come all! Looking for people of all shapes, sizes, and professions. From candlemakers, to barrel makers; fighters to magicians. The Frostbeard Expedition is looking for able bodies for this honorable expedition! All interested persons please come to the Night Knight Inn on the 4th of Brogin and ask for Morgran Frostbeard.

About me

Hi! I have been a Dungeon Master for Dungeons and Dragons since 2016 and have been running Daggerheart games since launch. Telling a story is number one in my book. If that means stretching the rules, I usually always rule on the side of cool. I am a huge fan of building a world that the players can change and effect with their decisions. If the players make a decision to release the entombed elemental dragons, that decision resonates through every game I run from that point on. If the players become known as the hero's that dismantled the slave trade in Evermoor, they may just find a statue built in their honor years later by new characters. I want my players to feel like every decision matters and it wont just disappear after the game has concluded.
