About the adventure
Every thousand years the Time Dragon awakens from its undead slumber and brings about the decimation known as The Chronophage. There much known about this calamity, only small cryptic legends remain about a Dragon who eats Time itself. The Chronophage is a custom campaign made by Lucas Duff of Ballad of the Seven Dice. It will follow along a group of older adventurers that are off to visit friends from the small town of Redhaven. When they arrive they will notice the town itself is 10 years in the past and everyone's memories are not lining up with present day. The campaign will follow the mystery of the Chronophage and will deal with themes of Memory Loss, Identity, and battling the Undead who are left in the wake of the Time Dragon. There will be violent battles, character death, and difficult decisions made through the game. This campaign will have a unique mechanic where the characters could potentially become younger (Still keeping memory), so that is why the characters themselves will start off a bit older and seasoned. Throughout the campaign your characters will encounter creatures, traps, and magics that will eat their time bringing them back to their adventuring prime. Can your heroes be the ones that stop this cycle or will they be too late?

About me
Hi there, I'm Lucas the GM/Producer of Ballad of the Seven Dice, Rise of Nyarlathotep and Escaping Carcosa! I have been playing games for a long time and have played numerous systems but always find myself coming back to D&D. I'm very big on the rule of cool, collaborative storytelling, and working with the players to create moments they will remember for years to come. I have a tendency to lean more towards horror and body horror as I feel you can get some exciting and memorable tales that way. Safety tools are a must with me so I know what to avoid and what I can go all in on to make this story better. If you're looking for cinematic boss fights, stories tailored to your characters, and itching for that next session, then I'm the GM for you!

Creating your character
Follow the basic steps for creating your Daggerheart characters that are outlined in the Corebook. If you do not have access to it, I will be able to share it with you on Demiplane where you can create your character and link it to Roll20!
The party is currently level 2
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Ensure that you have a decent mic so that other players can hear you properly for roleplaying. A camera is not required but is heavily recommended as it makes it easier for us to play and see one another's reactions to what we do so we avoid stepping on any toes and can get the most out of the virtual tabletop experience! We'll be using Discord for our chats, notes, and pictures that I share. We'll be using Roll20 for our maps and VTT goodness. Demiplane is where the characters are created and I can share the Daggerheart Corebook with you there. The character sheets can be easily linked from Demiplane to Roll20, so once you make character there it is good to go!
What Lucas Duff brings to the table
I will be providing the Daggerheart Core Rulebook through Demiplane. I'll also be keeping an updated recap/notes channel for each session so if you miss a session or forget it is there for easy access. I will also be taking care of all the maps and tokens for Roll20 and be using Syrinscape for Ambience and Music!
Homebrew rules
This is a brand new system so I haven't run into any homebrew rules concerning Daggerheart. Table Rules - No PVP unless both players agree to it as it causes actual fighting. - No hate speech, bigotry, sexism, or any of that garbage in my games. You will get a warning to cut that out and if you continue then you'll be kicked. - We will have Monte Cook sheets setup for people to list anything they would like avoided in the game so we can make sure we have a safe table. - Open Door: People have lives and if something comes up and you need to miss a few games that's cool, just let me know so we make sure you don't get charged for anything! - We take a quick 5-10 min break halfway through the session to get water, stretch your legs, go to the washroom so you don't need to be in one spot for all three hours.

How Lucas Duff creates a safe table
We are going to be using the Monte Cook sheet to outline things we are avoiding in the campaign and I'll list them off anonymously in the beginning. We will have Lines and Veils as well as the X card implemented if something pops up that you didn't think was an issue. You can also reach out to me at anytime if you are running into a problem and I'm happy to help.
