About the adventure
It has been over a century since the Nerath Empire fell, the memory of this powerful nation fading from the minds of its descendants. The crumbled remains of once-great castles and strongholds litter the lands, long abandoned. The world of Nentir Vale has been thrust into the Dark Ages, with isolated communities scattered across the continent, absent of any infrastructure to connect them. These are known as the Pinnacles of Light, beacons of hope in a world absent of such wishes. You were born in the middle of no where, where the people's hearts are warm and their hands heavy with the burden of survival in these trying times. There you grew strong, either by toiling in the farm fields, protecting the town from thieves and raiders, or surviving in the outskirts of the wildlands. The daily grind has been disturbed lately by rumors of strangers seen occupying nearby castle ruins, their motives unknown and the purpose of the former stronghold long forgotten. Village leaders have chosen you and a few others to go investigate these ruins and see what the outsiders are up to. This is where our journey begins, and where it ends is determined by you...

About me
Hello there, I'm Rocky! I'm 25 and have basically been playing ttrpgs since I could count, as my dad was an OG D&D player back in the 80s. I started with D&D 3.5e and Pathfinder 1e. I have since mastered D&D 5e, and dabbled in many other ttrpgs since then. The games that stick with me the most are set in my homebrew world of Estrya, where actions players have taken in one campaign impact the lore and history present in the world for future campaigns and players. I've also run published material, like Tales from the Yawning Portal and Spelljammer: Light of Xaryxis, or converted older D&D modules like Rock of Bral into the 5e system.

Creating your character
Everything will be handled during our first session! I'll provide character sheets for everyone and the information needed for character creation. We will be using the standard array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) for starting stats. All 5e material is allowed, so long as it is from the 2014 ruleset. Once you sign up, please fill out the google form and we'll be ready to play!
This is an in-person game only! We will be playing at Darby's Dungeon in Jacksonville at 7:30 PM on Fridays. I provide all needed materials, so don't worry about bringing anything for prep.
