About the adventure

In Golarion, in Taldor, the nobility is a constantly changing landscape across popularity and the pockets of land - the prefectures - that have changed hands countless times over the years. In a land of might and magic, the whims of those in power are nonetheless their own brand of tool - something that can be used to acquire resources or to fight off those that would take from your own. Whether it be the people below, above, beside or even those related to you by blood; someone is manipulating someone in Taldor. In addition to pens and words swaying people, whether what lies within is true or false, acts of the previously mentioned might and magic are sometimes employed - duels for authority in various types are a popular way to settle disputes among those so trained. But something is brewing. Taldor is steeped in a growing rebellion in the eastern prefectures. It is not a new occurrence, just an exceptionally troubling one as these rebels seem oddly...popular. A haze has hung over the kingdom, yet, as always, Grand Princess Eutropia does her best to keep spirits high. The recent capture of a proven, brutal murderer and rebel leader has the palace in high spirits, and she has planned his execution alongside the Grand Day of Exaltation - the day a citizen is raised to a senator, once a year - to celebrate thoroughly. But why does the one sent to die keep smiling...?

About me

Since I started playing tabletops I've loved all the joy it brings people at a table. It's like going through a fantastical novel with a group of like-minded lovers of adventure! I've been GM-ing for about 10 years, and every session is worth the memorable experiences that I hope both I and my players receive.

Character creation

Creating your character

Ideally we'll create characters together at Session 0, but you're welcome to consider ideas. This adventure would benefit from characters driven by strong personal convictions, a strong will to survive, and/or a need to achieve great deeds or success.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need a mic and a Discord for speaking and chatting - no video necessary. I'll also make a Foundry server for us once we get started.

What William brings to the table

I try to give my players everything I would appreciate in their shoes; whether it be making interesting combats, bringing characters and settings to life, music, a compelling story - I hope to provide everything I can to making a fun experience, because we're all playing a game at the core of it.

Homebrew rules

-If you have a feature or ability chosen from several options and you haven't used it or benefited from it, you can switch out that feature or ability at the end of the session even if you couldn't normally.

Safety

How William creates a safe table

As said before, we're all here for the sake of fun - I keep my table as open as possible and make it clear that everyone is open to freely discuss what they do and don't want to see in the game. Life happens, and health and safety come before rolling dice.
