About the adventure

If you're a fan of Muppets Treasure Island and One Piece, this may be an interesting game for you. New players are welcome to join, as I'm happy to help those slowly get used to the PF2e system. This game will dip into a bit of everything the PF2e system has to offer. Expect roleplay, combat, puzzles, or some combination when you encounter events within the world.

About me

You may call me Jacket, Sweater, or Jake; either one works for me. I'm a pretty easy-going guy, but I do enjoy picking at people's brains (figuratively) and participating in conversations that people are passionate about. I was introduced to the wonders of TTRPGs in 2018 with D&D 5e being the system that kickstarted this hobby o' mine. A few years later, I began the journey on the other side of the screen, going from D&D to PF2e with a little bit of Vaesen sprinkled in. So far, most of my experience is one-shots or mini campaigns; however, I am currently running 2 separate year-long games, both set in the same world. We've started in D&D and converted to PF2e, which I'm proud to say I've managed to figure out a way.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will be running the game through Foundry VTT, which is where your character sheet will be made. During session 0, the party will have the chance to discuss dynamics such as how much they know each other. I will help walk you through the simple process of building your sheet if this is your first time. This adventure more or less requires your character to answer the call to action, which is to locate the legendary pirate treasure. How you and the party wish to approach it will be a matter of discussion.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The only prep required is to have Discord, as we will be using it to talk and potentially send memes to each other. Though it's not required, reading up on PF2e's system wouldn't be a bad idea.

What Jake brings to the table

I bring to the table an amateur-level attempt at voice acting, especially to the larger-than-life NPCs you'll encounter. Ambient music will be played during the session, and I will take requests. Combat might be intense depending on what kind of scraps the party gets themselves into, but I'll embrace the Rule of Cool more often than not if the situation calls for it. Overall, I hope you have fun with the time invested in this game, and let me know if we can make the experience better.

Homebrew rules

I will allow ancestry paragon and free archetype feats.

Safety

How Jake creates a safe table

During session 0, we will go over a few questions that will help me gauge what to avoid and what to have more of in the game. As always, communication is key in TTRPGs, so please be aware that I'm not here to make you feel unheard. If something comes up in-game that makes you feel uncomfortable, either message in chat a X or me privately if you so wish, and I'll steer us clear of unwanted gameplay.
