About the adventure
Welcome to the land known as Anora. A continent containing multitudes in magical potential and geographic landscape; this place holds wonders unlike anything tamable by the capabilities of humanoids. In the south spans the sun touched desert of Irglesia, where the wind fledged sweeping sand has swallowed cities of ancient times. And just west, the mountain tops of Burstona, with peaks so high, no mortal could survive an ascent. The people of this continent have found a balance with the sheer force of natural arcana that exudes itself from every forest or babbling brook. In Anora thrives a booming economy vibrant with trade and knowledge from a diverse world of expansive life. But our story begins on a much smaller scale, within the town of Saltzburg, which lies adjacent to the foggy shores of Roth. The people here have led simple and pleasurable lives. That is, until a faithful day in which a small group of adventurers stopped in at the quaint little town, and from then on. Nothing was the same. What to expect: A mysterious campaign with an intriguing and ever-changing plot. It explores themes of intense magic and brilliance that until now have been hidden by the fog of Roth. I will work with each player as much as they need or want before the game starts to ensure they feel like they understand how their character will fit into the story. I strongly encourage players to add a lot of details to their backstory so that I can weave it into the gameplay.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I'm a passionate Dungeon Master in my early 20s with a deep love for storytelling, worldbuilding, and immersive roleplay. I’ve dedicated myself to crafting unforgettable narratives, weaving intricate storylines that seamlessly intertwine with player backstories to create a truly personal and engaging experience. Beyond the game table, I’m a theatre actor. One of my favorite things about DMing is bringing characters to life with rich personalities, dynamic voices, and emotional depth. I’m also a cast member in a D&D podcast, which has promoted me to grow more as a DM and to create cinematic moments and thrilling rp opportunities! I believe that TTRPGS are at their best when every player feels empowered to explore their creativity. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or new to the game, I strive to create a welcoming space where your choices drive the story forward, and your character's journey truly matters.

Creating your character
For character creation, you're totally welcome to use anything in the works of 5e (Including books like Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, etc.). I do not put many limits on players as long as the material is within the expanded works of 5e. Stats will be decided on the basis of rolling or with point buy -- it's up to your preference! For the backstory, I definitely encourage you to write as much as you want. Some players get more enjoyment from writing long and intricate backstories, while some like to write more concise ones; either is fine! Whatever you come up with, just try to get something for where you're character is from, people they would know, and whatever motivated them to pursue adventuring/traveling. More world information will be available in the discord server (you will receive an invite upon joining the game)! The starting level for this campaign is level three. Please feel free to reach out if you think there's anything I missed or if you have any questions!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You must have a Discord, a microphone, and an account with ForgeVTT (free to set up)! If you have a webcam that you would like to use, you may, but nobody is under any obligation to!
What Arthur brings to the table
My players can expect a variety of things that I think make my games lively and interesting. This may include music from a variety of games, movies, and TV shows, thought-provoking social encounters, intense combat (if this is your preference), custom-made battle maps, and more! As you'll be able to tell from my DM style very quickly, I am very supportive of different play styles and generally pretty lenient to whatever I think will bring players a good game. If you put in effort to this game, such as with character creation, backstory, and rp --I'll give you everything I got.
