About the adventure

Welcome to 1930s New England, where ivy-covered universities hide secrets, and the quiet hills of Vermont echo with whispers best left unheard. You are students and staff from the prestigious Miskatonic University, sent to assist at an archaeological dig in the sleepy town of Cobb’s Corners. It should be a simple academic trip. But when people begin to disappear and memories unravel, you’re drawn into a nightmare older and stranger than history itself. A Time to Harvest is a story-driven campaign full of mystery, tension, and psychological horror. You’ll investigate strange happenings, uncover forbidden knowledge, and confront unfamiliar forces. This game is perfect for both newcomers to Call of Cthulhu and veterans seeking a rich, unfolding mystery. We’ll focus on immersive storytelling, character development, and atmospheric horror, not tactical combat. You don’t need to know the rules—if you like uncovering secrets, solving mysteries, and playing flawed, curious humans in a dark world, you’ll fit right in. Bring your curiosity, a healthy skepticism of authority, and maybe a flashlight. Something inhuman is awake beneath the soil—and it knows your name.

About me

Greetings, adventurers! My name is Cody, and I’ve been a Game Master for over a decade, weaving epic tales and unforgettable journeys in Dungeons & Dragons and, more recently, Pathfinder 2e, which I’ve completely fallen in love with. Originally from Chicago, I now call Europe home, where I continue to fuel my passion for immersive storytelling and dynamic gameplay. For me, tabletop RPGs are more than just games—they’re about crafting worlds, creating deep character moments, and forging unforgettable experiences. I thrive on building rich narratives, balancing combat with roleplay, and making every session feel meaningful and engaging. My goal is simple: to provide my players with thrilling, immersive experiences where we laugh, strategize, and create legendary memories together. If you’re looking for a GM who is passionate, experienced, and committed to work on making every session feel like an epic tale, then I’d love to welcome you to my table! Are you ready to step into the story? The dice are waiting to decide your fate! 🎲✨

Character creation

Creating your character

Up to 10 premade Investigators may be utilized by the players or used as inspiration to develop their own Miskatonic University Student (under- or postgraduate) —giving them a good reason to become involved in the events of this campaign. More specifically, they should be from either the College of Languages, Literature, and the Arts or from the College of Sciences. Investigators could, of course, belong to any of the colleges and schools mentioned, though particular focus should be given to Human Conduct (Anthropology), Rhetoric (English), Applied Sciences (Metallurgy), and Natural Sciences (Geology) to give them the highest likelihood of being recruited to the upcoming expedition. It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that housemates or friends, perhaps those studying medicine or law, might be drawn into the campaign in the opening stages. We will vote to either use a quick build variation or roll for stats together at session Zero.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Once you join the campaign, I will provide you a discord server to join where we will have a text chat and voice chat. Working headset/Microphone, Internet Access, and good attitude are mandatory. Cameras would also be acceptable though not required. I will use the camera from time to time as it provides a clearer understanding of certain character mannerisms, behaviors, etc. I use foundry for rolls and theatre of mind maps as well as handouts. I use Syrinscape for music and ambience.

What Cody brings to the table

We will use Foundry VTT to make rolls and to provide theatre of the mind maps, player handouts and other inspirational art. Discord will be used for vocal (and visual) communication. I play the Rule of Cool and want to provide an experience for all of us to enjoy.

How Cody creates a safe table

I will provide a consent checklist for each player to fill out. Many potentially triggering situations may arise and I will do everything in my power to ensure that we all enjoy our time together and no one is uncomfortable(well mostly... it is cosmic horror after all :)) We will go over the lists in session zero and I am always open to answering any questions or concerns so feel free to contact me as necessary.
