About the adventure
Since there's a LoTR movie on the horizon, it seems ripe to have a 1-shot in the rich universe we all cherish & love. This 1-shot will tell a different tale from the segment of the Fellowship's journey, namely, when the doors of Durin were found and entered. The players will assume the role of the Fellowship, create their characters within the following parameters: 1. Merry Brandybuck; ancestry: halfling, class: Rogue or Bard, level: 1 2. Pippin Took; ancestry: halfling, class: Rogue or Bard, level: 1 3. Sam Gamgee; ancestry: halfling, class: Rogue or Warrior, level: 1 * homebrew feature: When attacking an enemy who is endangering Frodo, gain advantage on your to-hit roll. 4. Frodo Baggins; ancestry: halfling, class: Rogue or Ranger, level: 1 * homebrew feature: when using the Ring, gain the invisibility condition. 5. Boromir, son of Denethor II; ancestry: human, class: Guardian or Warrior, level: 2 6. Aragorn, son of Arathorn; ancestry: human, class: Ranger or Warrior, level: 2 * homebrew feature: when another member of the Fellowship is severely wounded or falls unconscious, gain advantage on the assailant. 7. Legolas; ancestry: elf, class: Ranger, Warrior or Rogue, level: 2 8. Gimli; ancestry: dwarf, class: Warrior or Guardian, level: 2 9. Gandalf the Grey: ancestry: aetheris or human, class: Wizard, level: 3 *If you prefer, I can send you a pre-generated sheet from one of the characters* Some characters don't have a homebrew feature, If you can figure out a suitable one, we'll add it to the character! Moria is such a strong fundament for a TTRPG session, on the one hand you have the Fellowship, who are on a quest to save the realm, expecting to find a relatively safe passage(with the exception of Gandalf, who had a suspicion). On the other hand, you have a death trap: an underground city that has become a cemetery, enshrouded with a sinister tone and a horde of flesh eating adversaries ready to seek and devour. A sandbox that is ancient, ruined, forgotten... Two things to note: 1. Those who sign up early have dibs on character pick, there can only be one of each. 2. The game is suitable for Daggerheart beginners & seasoned players This is a reimagining of the famous segment from the Novel, it will be a different take with different outcomes. Preparing for the session
- you will need Discord (by signing up you receive an invite to a private Chanel - where play will take place) - 30 min prior to game start, you're invited to join the video call where we discuss game mechanics and get to know each other - and most of all, you'll need to bring your imagination
