About the adventure
Ashen Song Academy is a beacon of magical learning, standing proudly atop the breathtaking Mount Saphyros, where the air hums with enchantments and the very winds seem to carry ancient melodies. It is a place of wonder, where the brightest minds and the wealthiest patrons alike gather to unlock the secrets of magic. Founded centuries ago by the eccentric and slightly dramatic archmage Valeria Noctis, the academy was named after the legend that the very mountain it rests upon once "sang" during celestial events. Whether this was the result of magical resonance or Valeria’s flair for the theatrical is still up for debate. Getting into Ashen Song is no small feat. Students must either display remarkable magical talent—often through rigorous entrance exams that sometimes involve spell duels, puzzle-solving, or even outsmarting a sentient book—or have families willing to donate sums large enough to "encourage" the admissions board. The professors, some of whom have been around for far too long (according to them), are among the most accomplished magic users in the world, blending strict academia with just the right amount of mischief. The campus itself is alive with magic: staircases move when they feel like it (though always politely), books whisper advice (some of it useful, some of it...not), and the gardens bloom with plants that occasionally hum in harmony. The school’s most famous student organization, the Arcane Choir, is not just an elite group of spellcasters but also known for their legendary "study parties," where academic discussions somehow always lead to spontaneous firework displays. While the academy upholds its reputation for excellence, it is also a place where young mages make lifelong friends, learn to control their chaotic spells, and sometimes accidentally summon a storm of animated quills in the library (first-years are not supposed to try inkweaving spells unsupervised). Despite its prestige, Ashen Song is ultimately a place of discovery and adventure—where students are encouraged to push the boundaries of magic, not just for power, but for the sheer joy of it. And if that means occasionally having to wrangle a rogue enchanted teapot in the dining hall? Well, that’s just part of the charm.

About me
Hello, and welcome all adventurers! I'm Mask Trader, but you can just call me Mask! I'm 25 years old, and for the past 7 years, I've both been a Dungeon Master and a player for some incredible games. I love using Dungeons and Dragons and the rules that come with it as a baseline, but over all, the whole point of D&D is to have a fun, interactive time (that is my motto anyways). A bit about me, I LOVE D&D and telling stories, but I also enjoy getting out into nature and doing archery as well. I enjoy researching other TTRPGs, and of course, collecting masks. If you have any questions for me, please feel free to reach out, I'll be more than happy to answer!

Creating your character
For character creation, you will build your character on D&D Beyond. I will have a campaign made there where you can access all of my books. After that, I will ask for the link to the character sheet, to where I will import it directly into Foundry. It's that simple! All races, classes and subclasses are allowed, as well as all feats and spells that are official content.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
1. Have a working microphone where we can hear you properly. 2. Have a Discord account. 3. Have a D&D Beyond account ready to go. 4. Browser is preferred, with a decent computer, to access FoundryVTT. 5. Read the info for the campaign in the Discord. 6. Webcam is completely optional.
What Mask Trader brings to the table
