About the adventure
Babylon wasn't always a terrible place. But few of the people alive now remember that, whether it be because they were born into this deathless life or because their memories of it have been tainted by time and strife. While none can truly die now - the gods seemingly not answering even the calls for rest - many bodies litter the desert that has consumed half of the landmass like a cancer, their spirits long lost as they allow their broken forms to lie eternal. But there is something. An oath. A promise. A tower. It pierces the land like a stake through the heart that is the darkness by which it is consumed. Upon its base, a faded inscription: "Ascend, oh mortals, and let the gods find you again. Climb the tower. Topple it. Cleanse this broken land." You have your reasons for beginning upon the long path across rhe desert. Whether you want to save people, spare yourself, or simply find your rest in the afterlife - the tower waits.

About me
Since I started playing tabletops I've loved all the joy it brings people at a table. It's like going through a fantastical novel with a group of like-minded lovers of adventure! I've been GM-ing for about 10 years, and every session is worth the memorable experiences that I hope both I and my players receive.

Creating your character
We'll create characters together at Session 0 to see how the team might work. Just remember there are no Divine casters, as the calls to gods have gone unanswered (no Clerics and some other classes limited)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have Discord and a mic - no video necessary I'll also make a Foundry once things get going
What William brings to the table
I try to keep a balance between the things I would enjoy as a player and as a GM - be it music, scenes, bringing characters and enemies to life, making the setting feel both lived-in and full of opportunity...I love it all, and I hope I can give my players the same experience.
Homebrew rules
-If you have a feature or trait and could've gotten a different one, as long as you've gotten no use out of it you can switch it out at the end of the session even if you couldn't normally.

How William creates a safe table
I keep my table as open as possible. Everyone is welcome, and I encourage an open discussion during session 0 about our expectations as well as any triggers/traumas to avoid. We're all here for the sake of fun, after all.
