About the adventure
Once upon a time, a witch named Elyse lived in the dark forest. She was strange, beautiful, and somehow distant—especially in the last few years. Then, one day, she died. Her body was found sealed in a glass coffin, untouched by rot but heavy with a curse. Now, you're heading to the nearby village to find out who killed her… but something isn’t right. The villagers are scared, funerals come too often, and even the animals are acting strange. Frogs croak warnings. Chipmunks whisper old secrets. And something unseen is prowling just outside the candlelight, laughing in the dark. This is a mystery soaked in witchcraft, jealousy, and demonic trickery. Players can expect folkloric horror, absurd encounters, talking animals, and an unraveling sense of reality. This game is for those who love dark fairy tales, creepy small towns, and solving grim puzzles with a touch of humor. If you enjoy storytelling that’s surreal, and steeped in myth, this one-shot is for you. Justice for Elyse won’t come easy—but you might get to watch the village burn trying.

About me
💀 (DARK FANTASY/HORROR GM) 💀 Discord server for my Startplaying games: https://discord.gg/53qzyrRbfq Hi! My name is Adrienn. I'm a GM of horror and dark fantasy RPGs. I’ve been running two intertwined Vampire: The Masquerade campaigns for over a year now, and I’m always writing new one-shots as well (nightmares never run out around here, haha). I love exploring topics that are dark, unusual, and often inspired by mythology and/or dreams. My inspiration to start GMing came from a deep-rooted desire to bring new worlds and stories to life. I started writing as a child, and eventually discovered that I could drag others into daydreaming with me. 🍭 A few pieces of info about me: - I'm from Hungary and currently live in Budapest - I have an MA in translation and interpreting (English-German) - I am bilingual (Hungarian-Russian) - I am currently developing my own TTRPG for language learning - I play the piano and love reading comics - I write poems as well 🍭 What I offer: - Creative horror settings and emotional dread - Your actions will matter - One shots or short campaigns - A lot of homebrew - For longer campaigns, especially Vampire, I offer a Milanote interface to keep track of progress and map out relationships - I am more focused on social aspects than combat (which doesn't mean the combat is missing though) - Character death can occur if the story or player decisions prompt it Thanks for reading! 🖤 I hope you will give playing with me a go!))

Creating your character
We can roll for characters together at the beginning of the game. Since the rules are simple, it won’t take much time.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players can read the rules (a one-page PDF easily found online), but it’s not required—I’ll explain everything at the start of the game. We’ll be playing and rolling on Discord for this one. Players will need to have either a Google-account or a previous Milanote registration to be able to log in to Milanote and access the information board.
What Adrienn brings to the table

How Adrienn creates a safe table
We will have the Luxton Technique Discussion at the beginning of the session. If anything comes up unexpectedly during the game we will have an Open Door system so that anyone can take a break, no explanation needed. We can also use the Discord chat to drop warnings if things are getting too heavy. We will use a Milanote board to add information and potentially triggering content can be marked there as well. I thought about adding a break in the middle - since the session is quite long. That time can be used for discussion to point out any issues from the first half.
